Can you return them for a refund?

Genuine question as I'm thinking of not bothering now and saving the money.

I was looking at this last night.
I think that’s the third block we’ve sold now?

    Worth noting

Their main squad are yellow card hangers on , one on 5 yellows , 3 on 4 yellows , and Platt on 3.

If they see a card happy official then they could miss a few soon?

Absolutely deranged way of selling tickets

My mate looked last night, saw it was "sold out", made alternative arrangements. That is 4 less paying customers Notts Co will have in attendance

Isnt that as much on city than Notts and we are just requesting a few extra hundred at a time?

I thought you got given an initial allocation then the away club purchased the rest according to demand with any outstanding at a cost to them or is that just for when increased allocation involves the potential dispersing or decreasing of home attendance?

Not a clue. I've just never seen it done that way before so assume it is down to Notts being backwards. On the odd occasion an away team give us an initial allocation and then give us, say, another 500 if we sell out, but that would be it

The only thing that staged block ticket sales does is cause confusion

With 724 dots/seats per block, then 3 blocks would indicate we have sold 2172 so far and counting. Can't recall us taking that many last November? Unless people are fancying it due to it being the last game before Xmas?

I know there are a group of 14 of us going, non of which went last year (wedding day for one of the group). But yeah, i don’t think we took that many last season.
I’m sure someone had said we’d sold over 1,000 a few weeks ago, and think we’ve sold 1 and a bit blocks since that

Think it was similar for MK Dons.....I got mine as soon as (top bracket for that one) but there were only 2 blocks 'available' despite knowing there were over 1000 tickets on offer.....and we hadn't sold them all before I got on....

It’s the wording more than anything, what’s wrong with ‘Unavailable at this time’. It’s not sold out.

A simple message from City would help, ‘The current allocation has sold out however we are awaiting the next batch of tickets’ or similar

Pure speculation but I wonder if this method of selling occurs when both teams use Ticketmaster? Perhaps it's some cunning ploy that platform has built into it? Apparently they use Ticketmaster too but it could also be 2+2=5 on my part!

I don't think it's anything to do with Ticketmaster as they gain nothing from it being done like this. It's more than likely either Notts County have been slow adding that sections seating map for us to upload, we've been slow uploading it or we have already sold our initial allocation and this is extra so it took a bit of time going through the safety/sign off before releasing more tickets.

Most teams sell block by block to help control the costs of segregation/stewarding. We do the same when we allocate the TL Dallas teams get the 1st block top tier block nearest the away fans then work along the top tier as they sell them out then do the same in the bottom tier if required rather than opening all of the stand at once. It also reduces the amount of odd seats left as you make sure each block is sold out.

It could be one of a few reasons for the time delay between 1 block being sold out and another going on sale but the process of selling 1 block at a time is common.

It’s to keep away fans all together instead of scattered about all over a large stand. Makes security and crowd management far easier.

This makes sense I'd rather be all together than rattling around a large stand.
