After listening to some of his comments on Saturday, I was wondering if Gary Jones had his coaching badges and would you like him as our new manager / head coach. He clearly still has the passion for the club and would be in my opinion a great appointment. He is a natural leader who wouldn't except any slacking from any player and would only command 100% from his players.

I'd rather someone with football league experience, let him, Collins and any others like that earn their badges through non league like Hurst and plenty others have had too.

So it's a no from me.

Passion wise he'd make a great coach, but he's got less coaching experience than Collins. We need an experienced man in, perhaps with a succession plan to someone like Jones.

PASHUN that's what it's all about. Get him in, along with Charlie as assistant and that bloke who hurled abuse at Rahic on Saturday as coach.

Wouldn't want him under this regime but he strikes me as having too much passion and not enough in his head. Strikes me as the Stuart McCall first time around, Stuart Pearce type, and I'd rather he went away and did it with someone else. Thinking man's number 2 I think

A no for me. We need a Ferguson or McCarthy type character and for them to be left to get on with it. Not that there is a chance of that happening sadly

No. I worry that former players, who have an unblemished history with the club, can return and then it doesn’t work out as supporters want. The number on here who have been critical of McCall, as a manager, yet he is the vast majority’s favourite ever player, is a case at point.

Coaching badges are a waste of time. They're not a reflection of whether someone can manage.

    Its a daft idea.

I'd get the Irish guy in that did the pitch. He seems to know what he's talking about and has a track record of achieving what he sets out to do.

John Coleman - but he's old school and probably wouldn't want to work for Rahic.
Keith Hill - his teams play decent football and he's used to working on a shoestring. But he's old school and probably wouldn't want to work for Rahic.
Gareth Ainsworth - done well at Wycombe and impressed by how he had a limited group of players working effectively to a clear game plan. But he's emotive and probably wouldn't want to work for Rahic.
Phil Brown - would want to manage. Wouldn't want to work for Rahic.

Greg Abbot. Shit. Would work for Rahic

You can see where this is going can't you...?

Sadly, when Collins does inevitably get the push our options will be very limited. I can see Greg being given the job until January or possibly until the end of the season. Now i'll pop my tin hat on for this one. Would anybody consider Bower over at Park Avenue? Had his find your feet season last year and now seems to be delivering the results.

'Neil, fancy sacking off the premiership to work for a league one club who won't have the biggest budget, but who's chairman will be eager to help you out with match prep and team talks etc?

    Neil?
    Neil, are you there....?'

Bower has done a brilliant job at BPA. He can't do any worse than Collins.
