Looking into it, it all depends on the FA. If the FA believe the appeal is "frivolous", they will add on another game to the ban.

 

Parker mentioned this in his pre-game blurb on the T&A. “But doesn't look to be much pace in that team”. The lack of pace is a huge problem.

 

Run with pace , pass with pace…..Simple anology we cannot seem to grasp. It reminds me of watching Jack Grealish . The game stalls when he gets the ball !

 

The referee should be banned. He clearly let the players decide it was a red card for him and it seems he also swayed other decisions based on influence. You can not be a weak minded person and a professional referee.

Yes, they make mistakes but this guy was clearly unsure and made decisions based on pressure. I'm not even sure his view of the incident was even clear looking at the reply. He shouldn't be refereeing anything other than a Goals five a side league

 

If Cook was in Kavs position for the goal, would he have dummied it for Patto, or would he have got control of the ball and tried to score??.
It's the old saying of if he doesn't score he doesn't contribute much else so how do we move forward as a squad?

By setting up to get the best out of a striker who is basically a 1 goal in 2 games average. Andy Cook is not the problem here and never will be, one half decent performance against Crewe doesn't change that.

 

Would you rather Cook score 1 in 2 or we set up without him to score 2 goals or at least 1 a game?

 

This is the issue I raised with a supporter the other night.

If you could show me how this squad without Cook scores 2 a game i'd listen to any debate. The truth is without Cook this squad has literally no goals in it. If i thought leaving him out would somehow turn around this bang average squad of players around i'd say go for it.

 

If Haaland came on the open market, there isn't one club in the world that wouldn't want to sign him. As with Cook, Haaland is not the reason why Man City are currently having a bad run of form.

 

I'm not saying Cook is the problem.
But he's not the solution.
I would rather try build a team that has goals coming from 4 or 5 contributors.

In theory your point has merit. But there is no evidence to suggest with this squad that leaving Cook out would suddenly make us into this free scoring unit we badly need to become a promotion chasing team. The problem we have primarily is the midfield not the strikers. We create very little as a side because of this, i would look to change this area first before even thinking of replacing Andy Cook.

 

2 seasons ago he scored 36, Man City won the title. Last season he scored 27, Man City won the title. This season, despite a team in poor form he has scored 13. But apparently he doesn't contribute. I have no words...

What have the rest done in a system set up to feed their central striker?

 

You mean the system thats won them the title the last two seasons?
