I'd say lads we see in L2 these days under 21/22ish are one of either. They either play one two touch and move or want time and space. Suppose as you say it depends on the coaching.

We get a ref on Tuesday night who booked anything that moved and yet this guy is letting Crewe get away with several (what can only be classed as professional fouls) stopping the momentum of the game and not one yellow to show for their game play.

Then we get a yellow for exactly the same offence that Crewe committed about 5 minutes ago

 

And then a yellow for kicking the ball away.

Yet he was quick to caution for kicking the ball away?

 

I think Redfern got that free kick right the ref blew the whistle and awaited the home crowd to complain then gave the free kick in Crewe's favour.
