It's square pegs as well too. Richards just being placed somewhere on the left. Halliday being crowbarred into the left too the last few games. Everyone knows Walker is not even half as effective in his current role as he was playing as an out and out number 10. Pattison too, I honestly forgot he played last night until reading the report this morning. Odour another, no real position and just gets floated into the non existent midfield.

I just dont get the plan at all.

That's because there is no plan. We just roll from one game to the next with forlorn hope. GA out now, with RS and SR to follow asap

GA has said today they when they arrived at training this morning he had a meeting with some senior players of the team to try and clear the air around the poor form. Surely you discuss this with everyone in the team? Rather than just the senior players in the squad?

no wonder we look disjointed if there is a them and us approach to communicating with the team, why let a clique emerge, what makes them a senior length of time with us ? is Oliver in those meetings it beggars belief that any manager would operate this way.

There is clearly increasing dissent, disgust, dissatisfaction and distrust emerging on this forum. Shame it's taken some this long to realise the true extent of the shambles BCFC has become. It's also very easy to hide behind the keyboard so surely it is time for some meaningful (but peaceful) action to be taken to support the words being posted by many

Not sure where we go from here or even if the fans can force some kind of a solution
Mr Rupp boasts he won't sell to anyone who would "do the club harm" how much more harm that year on year regression can cause I don't know, and more importantly someone has to meet his allegedly over inflated asking price no confirmation of that although the crypto boys offer seemed to get off first base
Until then I envisage nothing will change and we will plod along mid L2 table for the foreseeable (don't go down and don't go bust)
The fan base seems pretty much split on how to reverse the last 6 years of decline and would be difficult to present a united front respect to both sides of the argument
@Fordy117@Fordy117 is full of ideas but no substance to back them up maybe just maybe it's time for him to lead us out of this general malaise (I won't hold my breath) !!!

And tbh I am not sure what the answer is either. I am certainly not well connected enough to be able to plan anything but it has reached a point where I am happy to support any appropriate peaceful action/protest, just as long as I don't have to set foot inside VP to do it.

Some on here have stopped our support and finance that's including long term supporters myself inculded in that list with 60+ years bu you can lead a horse to water comes to mind, I personally think iff this form continues the drop off will.be a natural process, last night's gate should be a warning to the club mind whether they take it on board is another thing.
That is rank bad man management, that's definitely going to cause rifts in the dressing room iff there isent already one

If you're Ryan Sparks, what are the career reasons to staying at City as we sit in December 2024? The only reason I can think of is that he knows he is NEVER going to get a role like this again and is milking it dry until he has to be forcibly removed. But, what after that?

He is only in his mid 30's, he still has to earn money for another 30+ years and after his last few years on CEO money, he might have become accustomed to a certain standard of life that he will want to keep. But would another club take him on? With his CV? Sacking after sacking. Club with no plans to go forward for future planning or any infrastructure to speak of, apart form a new shop roof. Constant unrest for the fanbase. Calls from a section that has wavered in size but never wavered in its message to have him removed from his job for at least the last year. Soundbytes that now have the air of David Brent to them and have aged like milk. The owner had to hire someone to help him out in the summer, but does anyone really know what Sharpe does? I cant see many positives to Ryans tenure so far, other than publishing commerical deals on social media. But nobody has any idea if they are a positive or not as we just had no knowledge of commercial deals in the past, so we could be doing more, less or the same? I am really struggling to find a shining light in his CV entry for the last few years as CEO.

He said a few years back when Gent was hired, that we were wanting to sign younger players on longer contracts with the idea of selling them on. In theory, Sparks set out a plan to sign fewer players each season and build young talent to profit from in sales. But with only Harry Lewis and Jake Young coming into that equation, and lets be honest it wasn't City that created a transfer valuation to Young, has that policy been a success or quietly scrapped? The 22/23 season, we signed 15 players on permanent contacts at an average age of 26.4 years old. The following season 23/24, we signed 9 players on perm contacts, at an average age of 26.1 years old, so a very similar ball park. But so far for the 24/25 season, we have signed 7 players to City contracts at an average age of 30. Even if you take out the patch signings of Evans and Huntington with their futures still in the air, the average age was a shade under 28, with only Tyreik Wright now on his 3rd City spell, the only signing under the age of 27. So did our policy seemingly just end? We only have Pointon, Kavanagh & Richards in the first team who are under the age of 25 and under contract. Pointon is the only one who could fetch value at the minute, who as we know came through the system rather than someone we targeted in the "buy cheap - sell on" policy.

Surely if being a sporting executive is the career path for Ryan, he has to have some integrity and know when to walk away? I reckon even a portion of the fanbase might have a little respect back for him if he holds his hands up and says he isn't up to the task of correcting this ships path, even if it is too late.

Why would this time be any different mate?

He completely ignored the previous efforts.
I genuinely think he believes all that RS tells him and he still thinks Tuesdays mass no show was down to weather and telly.

RS will show him the league table (which doesn’t look too bad) and convince him that returning players will make a massive difference.

I have to admit that I'm being optimistic and simply hoping that Rupp will see sense and read what many fans will be saying to him. I don't underestimate how much he relies on Sparks to deliver what Rupp expects but at some point he will see beyond that to protect his own interests.

The league table looks OK and with 16,000 or so fans at VP regularly, Sparks will no doubt be spinning a healthy outlook. It will come to a head only when we fans start to spend our money not at VP but elsewhere. Only then, will Rupp feel the effect.

Perhaps if he walked away now he could spin the line that he had taken the club as far as he could with the financial restraints placed upon him by the owner, and was now seeking a bigger challenge!
