    Personally I feel sorry for the bloke, and feel this whole situation is yet another prime example of a minority of bored people wanting something to be offended by

    The guy is a typical bloke, old school, “carry on” style innuendo that the majority of men - and women - partake in. Why is it ok for certain folk in the public eye to make reference to “soggy bottoms” etc, people like Sarah Cox or Liza Tarbuck on the radio (both of which I think are fantastic DJ’s btw) but bad old Gregg cracks a one liner and all hell breaks loose

    This country is dying fast with its constant wokeness and virtue signalling

    That’s a very good point isn’t it. Largely liberal media outlets are quick to round on some guy on the TV for using language/manners thats he’s probably always used in the past 20 years on TV, but as you say they don’t report on the war deaths around the world, or about the scumbags who kicked shit out of the police in Manchester airport, or the vile grooming gangs that are still rife

    I think the BBC are absolutely huge hypocrites as well. The amount of depravity them and their employees have covered up over the years is beyond comprehension

    Claiming covering up is a bit rich. It's very easy after the fact for people to claim they knew and everyone knew especially if they are a bit weird like Saville BUT just because they claim it doesn't mean it true. Take Esther Rantzen for example, here is the women who proudly bragged about setting up childlike at every single opportunity and who herself was a big name in the BBC but did she ever report Saville to anyone? Hell no. If she had any actual evidence like she claims and she didn't report it then it makes her the biggest piece of shit on this planet, if you setup a charity to protect children and don't say anything if you actually know children are being hurt then you are even worse than the abuser. The reality is people who commit such crimes are usually a bit weird but they also aren't stupid, they actually use the weirdness as mask.

    And the BBC did actually report Saville when they got actual reports, the police decided that there wasn't a case to answer and even today you can't just sack people for being weird and based on unsubstantiated rumours especially back then. And the Newsnight report simply didn't meet the editorial bar to be aired, they had previously reported Lord McAlpine was a pedophile incorrectly and the editorial guidelines were strengthened to prevent that happening again. When it came out it was dropped that saw people who either declined to come forward or that the initial investigation wasn't aware of which made it easier for the ITV report especially as ITV had a lower bar on their reporting. If serious accusations are going to be made even if the persons dead it should be a requirement the reports are accurate, even more so these days with the way the internet will run with anything based on the smallest thing even when people can't actually validate what is true.

    And if you look at someone like Hew Edwards, what he was initially accused of wasn't a crime, it's sleazy but not a crime. When he got caught up in an actual crime the BBC were asked by the police and cps not to fire him and not to report it so it didn't undermine the case. That's not a coverup


    And the BBC clearly are putting it high up the order largely because of the previous backlash.

    Of course people within the industry - bigwigs & celebrities - were covering up Saville's behaviour. They all knew about it but decided to remain silent through fear it would derail their own career ambitions. They still do it to this day!!

    I don't feel sorry for a bloke who walks into work naked apart from a sock covering his ding-a-ling. You and I would be sacked on the spot for doing that.

    Banter is one thing, but rubbing yourself up against women you are working with is disgusting.

    Nah mate I wouldn’t get sacked because there’s no wokeness in our workplace

    All besides the point I was making anyway. What he’s done (or being accused of - not guilty yet) pales into insignificance when there’s much more pressing issues that need addressing nationwide immediately. I’m not saying for one minute what he’s accused of doing isn’t weird or perverted by the way, before you throw that at me, but the finger pointers really need to get their priorities straight
