It was mentioned on Radio Leeds in the post game coverage that the covers were going back on the pitch so they definitely went back on very quickly after the match.

You are an unbelievably condescending person Kev I’ll give you that. And if you are the font of all knowledge that you always make out to be, make sure you explain yourself, not take the lazy way out by saying “I won’t bother explaining”

We are 1 of only 2 league 2 fixtures called off. Salford and Swindon always getting postponed last season, but not today. Clearly whatever INVESTMENT they made in their pitches has worked, ours not so surprise surprise

We’ve been bullshitted to yet again by those at the top. Major Investment my arse, but you just keep applauding them from the comfort of your armchair in Norfolk

Perhaps no snow in Salford and Swindon this morning?

When I go into Manchester, it can be totally different to where I live. This morning, there was no snow up here, but it was torrential rain. On Thursday I drove from Wharfedale. Totally clear there (but a hard frost), Bradford had a little snow, but up here in the Pennines it was still thick and covering the minor roads and all the pavements.
To try and suggest that because it was/is clear in Salford, which is 40 miles South-West of Bradford, and much lower above sea level, seems a little ‘random’ at best.

Plenty of snow in York overnight, but their pitch looks in great condition, and no problems with"surrounding areas".I really do despair at the apathy at VP sometimes.

Apologies if I've missed it but have they said why its called off? Frozen? Waterlogged? Snow-covered?

Happy in your lack of knowledge ? If you don’t know who and why has the ONLY authority to call off a game then I feel sorry for your lack of nous . It’s the clubs fault, it’s snowing, icy and raining , it’s the clubs fault bus travel has been hit, it’s the clubs fault the overhead lines are down on the line into Forster Square , we are in the middle of a national storm it’s the clubs fault. The surrounding streets and maybe Manningham Lane / Midland Rd, Queens Rd, Kings Rd are a treacherous hazard to pedestrians and drivers yet it the clubs fault .

The pitch might be entirely playable ( but maybe a soft tissue injury threat ;));but if the EFL officials and the police and Safety Team deem it a severe risk getting to the ground then it’s off and absolutely nothing at all to do with the club. You really embarrass yourself sometimes Steve. Any excuse to have a pop and now the weather is another conduit.

It might work for some but not for me.

Others have explained dozens of times who can call of games and why ..That’s why I couldn’t be bothered, but hey I fell for it .

The fact that you find my original reply somehow condescending ……I won’t lose any sleep, but why make it so easy for anyone let alone a cluless two hat like me, pull your agenda apart!

It’s the clubs fault , blah, blah, blah, blah .

Turning out to be a good decision to postpone
Pitch would have been absolutely destroyed

Has York moved to the Pennines recently OGF?

York is as flat as a pancake , hence cycle City 15 ft above sea level , Bradford is 550 ft.

    Not a great comparison sir?

Do you even understand why our pitch is so bad with even a drop of rain?
Our pitch has always been abysmal

If you have to retort to most of my posts in the manner you do, just because you’re in a minority of fans who can’t accept criticism of the running of our club, then that’s firmly your issue to deal with

I will continue to despair at and berate Rupp and Sparks at every opportunity I can, not only because it is my right to do so, but also because it is fully justified. They have single handedly made long term loyal supporters walk away and find other interests, due to the constant shite they spout

    Update @Idlebantam@Idlebantam
‘Just over an hour before it was scheduled to kick off, Salford's encounter with Bromley was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch. In a statement, Salford wrote: "This afternoon's Sky Bet League Two game against Bromley has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch’.
Far better an assessment at 10.30 a.m. This morning.

You are wasting your time. Happy clappers simply will not accept any fair or logical criticism aimed at the club. As long as they have a club to support, thats good enough for them.

Results around us went our way.

But re: the top three, not so much.

We look well placed still to scrape into the playoffs, maybe, but little more. I'd still take it if we won the playoff lottery, but there are no excuses this season. Walsall look like Liverpool, Port Vale like Man City lol

10th is a more reflective assessment of where we are (11th if Fleetwood win one of 2 games in hand)
