It's early days I know but I'm not actually convinced the pitch is all that.

It already looks rather soft and like it could easily cut up whilst still having the same visibly bare areas as previous.

I certainly wouldn't be in a rush to risk playing on a slush covered pitch, fair enough get the covers on and see if it's playable but I'd rather it be fit for Saturday onwards. If that's means buggering up the EFL cup schedule then so be it

 

Also it's live on Skysports+ , doubt there will be many above 1000 in attendance on a cold november tuesday for this ...
