No different to Kav really. Ran around a lot and put in the effort. Had no service so no opportunities in/around the box.

Your last sentence hits the nail on the head. We all complain about whoever partners Cook but strikers aren't going to score if no one creates chances for them. The creativity in our midfield is non-existent as our attacking players there are always out wide to support the wingbacks and hope to get a cross in. This also means that when we lose possession there's a gaping hole for the opposition to flood into.

    June 2026;

I also said there is no reason why we can't put another run together like we did a month ago, this division is wide open not one stand out team.
I'm far from happy but I cant see the club sacking him whilst we're there or there about's, time will tell.

This is his record since he became our manager,
    Alexander.jpg
Won nearly 50% of his games in charge with 15 defeats, as bad as its been.

While I admire your optimism Broncs, and I'd much rather be discussing a promotion push, there is every reason to believe we won't go on a proper run.

Look at the stats I posted a page or two back. We don't create chances, we don't enter the opposition box and we don't score goals.

We're only a third of the way through the season and we're already playing catch up with the play offs and the underlying data has nothing in it to suggest we can bridge the gap.

Always the optimist mate, stats mean nothing, were our states outstanding before that little run I'd suggest not but as I posted we could have gone top with the correct result against Doncaster, being an optimist I've not given up on the season.

The amount of dosh I have spent since 1959 far out weighs that argument , however it bears zero credence either way. There isn’t a club in the EFL that isn’t supported with funds outside supporter gate receipts.

They are ALL reliant on an owner willing to put in funds . Some happy to invest to keep the club afloat , others happy to invest to progress. We sit in the former camp and unless we find a buyer that’s where we are… stuck. Pointless calling for a new owner unless there is a known replacement willing to invest solve what? .

Suggesting XYZ should “go”can be said as many times as one wishes, but to what end , unless you know Mystic Meg who knows of an immediate replacement we are stuck .

I could for example say GA should go! And……..,?

Only achievable if Rupp invests further on the footballing side and recruits say Mark Robbins . A complete and utter difference , I said who , and how it may be achieved.

We have had forum talk of mystery buyers before have we not ? The result being?

I’ve been saying the same for a while…The disjoint between the back three and front two has been dire for a high number of games now. If wing back don’t perform ….as yesterday , the front two get no service.

I hate the 3 at the back with wing backs with a passion. I doubt GA will budge though. 4-3-3 for me.

I have waited for 24 hours before making comment. I had hoped I would be inspired to say something constructive. It has been beyond me.

I watched game from my sofa. Even on the comfy sofa this was a hard watch. At no point was it entertaining. Individually our players did nothing to excite. The tactics, if they had any, did not include any form of pressing. Colchester harried our defence, we retreated and gave them licence to do what they wanted. They were fitter than us from the start and more so as game wore on.

Topping it all was their goal. 11 men back, including 3 centre halves and Oliver, plus our tall keeper, only to see an undefended header at the back post. Just been to watch my 13 year old grandson play in his team. They were more tactically aware than City and came up with some very clever ideas. And it was fun.

I just wish I could be more constructive. Or even better, that Alexander could be.

You’re the optimist because you don’t care. If you did then you will tell it and see it how it really is!

We are shite, the club is a mess and yes in terms of points we are not far off but in this poor league we should be aiming for automatic position & top spot in truth.

It’s all not good enough. We might win on Saturday but come the next game we will more than likely drop points again. We are inconsistent and it’s Cook or nothing.

@Fordy117@Fordy117 - we might might well win next Saturday but I can absolutely guarantee that we won’t drop points the next game.

I'd hardly say Broncs is an optimist, and to say he doesn't care...fck me.

Couldn’t really care less about Rupp (for now). It’s his puppet on a string I’d like to see the back of, Ryan the narcissist. His cluelessness and incompetence has single handedly kept us in this league with his constant hiring and firing, all whilst trying to protect his own image and status

The man is a proven bullshitter time and again and he should’ve done the decent thing 2 years ago and walked

It’s good if played with the correct tactics and most importantly the players that know and most importantly, the positional requirements .

Halliday is noway a right centreback as is Bobby a LWB . Square pegs and all that?
