As poor as our defending was I don't think overall our defence is our problem area once again our saviour Andy Cook scores from a deflection but from that good finish from a bit of luck what did our attacking players create very little, Colchester were as poor as us even with 67% of play I don't think Walker had a difficult save to make all the game and when called on to do his bit he fluffed his lines, not for the first time this season unfortunately.

 

We absolutely should have seen the game out so we are in agreement on that point.
The point I'm making is that this was a typical performance under GA and if he stays for the season we will most likely see a lot more of that which isn't something I'm particularly excited about!

 

It doesn’t even hurt anymore losing points, watching poor football , watching poor players just doesn’t have the same impact as it’s gone on so long

 

By the sounds of it we had 1 shot all game and sat back after the goal giving them two thirds possession. Absolutely criminal tactics and I feel for the 600+ who went today-been robbed yet again by ,what is rapidly appearing to be, a clueless manager.

All this chat about just outside play offs etc etc is a clear indicator of our lack of squad depth as really we should be top 3 and pushing, yet we are wallowing around the league without looking at all a decent outfit. That's what we are all seeing , a disjointed approach across the board.

Performances and results tend to go hand in hand-our performances in general have been utter dog shit and can anyone see them getting any better?

All Walker did today was just highlight, if we ever needed it, how poor we are. A win would have got a few giddy but deep down we all know we are not going anywhere -again.

 

Failure to beat Accy next week and then going out of cup the week after will see the end of Mr Alexander I’m sure.

GA talks absolute rubbish I thought his post match interview was in parts incoherent if that's the way he delivers his pre match talk/tactics then no wonder the players seem disinterested
1-0 lead away from home is always a slender lead unless your defence is rock solid, we never tried for the killer 2nd
Schoolboy football teaches when defending corners/set piece a man on either post and picking up any spare men is considered basic as is with 1 minute to go with a 1-0 lead you keep the ball in the opposition half of the field but we didn't have a player capable of doing so left on the pitch
We tried to defend a 1-0 lead for 60/70 minutes against a team who started 3rd from bottom and failed thats not a good professional away performance as he would have us believe 1 shot on target all game testifies this
A single point from the likes of Fleetwood and Colchester is barely mid table form let alone play off standard considering we missed out on the play offs by 1 point last season makes it even more galling
Time for big changes as we all know which can't come soon enough good leadership starts from the top etc

 

You need to have a lay down fella, nowhere within this thread have I said anything like you have posted fella, I very rarely do knee jerk responses to a Bradford City performance good or bad, been there, done it, bought the tee shirt so if you want to fade away fella that's up to you, take a couple of paracetamol fella and sit in a darkened room until you cool down ???.

 

Walker has no one pushing him for his place we have no one ready to take his place and sharpen his concentration despite our added investment

 

I'm not defending what we have seen so far this season, have a look at my comment about last weeks team selection and overall inept performance at Fleetwood, having said that like it or not we have been unlucky with the injuries to players I believed might make us a stronger team and I'm prepared to see how they perform once fit, if they don't perform then that is down to the footballing side of the club of which Alexander is the main man as the saying goes the buck stops at his door.

 

That's one way of looking at it but I'm not sure that was at the back of Walker mind when he takes to the field. simple catch or punch we come home with all three point whether we deserved them or not ?.

 

Your comments about injuries are fair enough and I for one hate the revolving managerial door that we've had in recent years, but the guy doesn't inspire me to think things will get much better performance wise over the course of the season.
It's all academic anyway as he won't be going anywhere in the short term so he will get the chance to turn it around, and I'd be delighted to be proved wrong.

 

When we don't lose....

 

It's so easy to post a knee jerk reaction but enough is enough I left Fleetwood dejected decided to give today's trip a miss and watch in a pub.Crewe ruled it's self out after all my previous visits to an absolute shit hole filled with young kangaroo heads and their flares.
Rotherscum at home on Tuesday and Morecambe in the cup is a goer but after that I'll pick and choose my away days.
Im sick of been short changed we simply don't entertain on the road enough to justify the expenditure.

 

Small margins Dave but we always seem to be on the wrong side of them
I do blame Alexander, Sharpe,Gent etc for not providing adequate back up for injuries/loss of form etc
I shudder at the thought of losing both Cook and Walker 2 most important positions on the field and absolutely no back up yes we have a large injury list (for whatever reason) but also a mis match of a largely ineffective back up squad members and that's certainly down to the man who's door the buck stops at and his cronies

 

Could tell in the first 10/15 minutes that it was never gonna be a masterclass performance, slow, negative, mindless yellow cards, soft injuries, no passes no movement, mid table if we're lucky....

 

I don't feel it's fair to put the blame solely on Walker. Who was supposed to be marking the guy that had the free header? If someone marks that guy then he probably doesn't score.

We haven't been unlucky with injuries, It has to go deeper than that when after 3-4 months out they come back, within 2 weeks they are injured again!
Something is fundamentally wrong.
