The Football Player that almost Bankrupted a Football Club

Quite a sad watch really. In some ways we’re lucky we didn’t suffer the penalties of going into administration like some of the other clubs, however, we in exactly the same place as we would’ve been with points deductions. We just haven’t taken advantage of the little bit of luck we had.

 

Nice reminder of just how much this club has fallen. I must admit, I don't really have a desire to be a premier league club especially the way the top is at the moment, I'm just sick to my back teeth of watching a mismanaged L2 club year in year out. To say the game footage was filmed near the "atmosphere section".... there wasn't a lot of atmosphere coming across on film. Although I think that's more a VP issue, sound just flattens in there no matter which stand makes noise.

I like Nieve from the bits I've seen of her on TV. Very knowledgeable Youtube type fan on those Sky shows when 90% of them seem like unsufferable idiots just trying to get their schtick in and get soundbytes to trend, she actually more often than not has very backed up arguments and statements for stuff at the top of the game. Surprised to see one of the bigger online folk touch L2 football, its usually PL only or Wrexham.

 

Careful now. I've been threatened with legal action for mentioning some of the things that went on back then.

I could be wrong but I believe StuntPegg is factually incorrect, if my memory serves me well it was not until the second administration were Carbone and Ward asked to waiver their outstanding contracts the second administration where Julian told us 25 yearers they would not be able to honour our 25 year agreement as we now became creditors as part of the agreement with Carbone and Ward to waiver the remainder of their outstanding contracts, where as previously under the first admin under Richmond we were not classed as creditors, I'm sure if my recollection of those times have faded someone will correct me but if I'm correct then StuntPegg needs to research the subject better, and do stop calling us chickens were Bantams and proud of it.

 

I’m certain the first admin happened at the end of the first season back in the Championship. Carbone had gone on loan to Middleborough and Windass had gone to the Blades with Stuart.
The 25 year deal was honoured the first time, it was the second admin where Rhodes ripped it up.
I also could be wrong.

 

It was defiantly the second administration as it was when Gordon Gibb came on board and he had the rug pulled from under him taking us into the second administration.
