I can participate in the local 100 mile cycle race , hence I am a competitor and thus compete . I’m 70 in a couple of days and about as much chance of being in the top six finishers as going to the moon , yet I’m still “ competitive” .
Add the same word to budget, squad and ……………?

Then there’s another “ footballing “ which could mean playing budget , pitch renovations , academy , coaching staff , bantams TV .

Rupp said that we would able to compete at the top of league. Obviously, we are there or thereabouts atm, and we cannot determine how all this will pan out until the end. Ambiguous spin and drivel is correct. I think that a club like ours with thousands of loyal fans over many years who were teetering on the edge of abandoning the club last season it was highly manipulative as well. In my view you do not put the trust fans have for the club in jeopardy.
