This rubbish with Kav has got to stop.For Alexander to say it does not matter if he scores or contributes,because he runs around a lot is ridiculous.And Tyler Smith is no better.Sanderson must be brought back asap.

It was a poor decision. Problem I think was that I think that was his first league match and his first real decision in the match. I think he did ok otherwise but that was a poor decision.

 

Remember Vale away on Sky and he was in the studio got a great reception from the away end just a shame that he was at the club at a time when it was poor

 

Strange one but there has been a few like that even in the PL pulling it back from the original contact ..........if the original contact is deemed a foul then simply blow up straight away and avoid all this ..........if he was playing advantage then surly the next phase was a clear pen.

Thats why the way they ref is so mind boggling when they turn easy decisions into hard ones

 

GA has said he prefers our own signed players to loans which is probably why loan players don’t get as much leeway. Kav has had a good run in the team but I think he needs some time out. He will come good again but we can’t afford to keep playing him when he is not at his best. If Sanderson can’t do it either then maybe Rupp needs to spend the Young money and bring in a striker. Of course they are more expensive in January which is why you buy them in the summer.

 

Even dafter , as Admin pointed out ( Dennis?) The rules allow for that to give a pen!

 

Ubelievably I was happy to give Kav another go after Saturday when I though he had a better game. Sadly instead of pushing on he regressed last night. Time to rest him

I watch a lot of league one and two football as part of my employment and I went to Harrogate last night with my friend who lives over that way. While we think Cook and Walker are excellent they wouldn’t get in the Port Vale side I watched last night. They have ridiculous squad depth and Croasdale who we were linked with put in a performance we can only dream of from Smallwood. They play a brand of football that is above this division. They bring Jayden Stockley off the the bench and we have Oliver.
We have a half decent team for this level but it would get destroyed in league 1. I still think our recruitment leaves a lot to be desired.

 

Admit it! When we didn't get the pen and saw Smallwood lining up for the free kick on the edge of the box, who else was thinking about the free kick Jake Young scored on Saturday .

 

No interest in him…..Not our player. He’s scored once since last November or something…..Hardly a record, playing or “ injured” is it?

 

I’m happy for Port Vale to run away with as long as we finish in 2nd or 3rd I’ll be happy. Port Vale have a bit of money and have spent quite a bit. We are doing it on the cheap, but the early signs are that our recruitment hasn’t been as bad as first feared. In my opinion.

 

All they are doing is mimicking Notts County , Wrexham and Stockport . Chuck bucketfuls of money at it , spend wisely with a decent manager with an owner who isn’t bothered about the cost or any return on the money spent.
It works for some, for others Carlise / Gillingham it doesn’t.
