"After three seconds, the referee counts down, and if the goalkeeper is daft enough to hold onto it, it’ll be a corner.

Kavanagh took some justified stick for his error yesterday but his work rate and pressing from the front was a big reason in our success. I bet he slept last night

They had a decent spell in the first half but apart from that hardly nothing and the 2nd half they didnt really hurt us at all ............one of there fans on the youtube channel you know the watchalong ones said Gillingham deserved nothing out of the game and we where far better ..............but hey we all see the game differently

 

Said exactly the same to the grandson, without doubt the lad has ability he just need that goal to boost his confidence, I think the shot first half which was blocked looked from where we sit to be goalward bound.

 

I still don't understand how that benefited the game.

I think there is an element of sour grapes in the Gills fans take on yesterdays game, nothing like a bitter fan when Gillingham were clearly second best yesterday.

 

It says it all when he believes Andy Cook was hooked as he said because he did nothing, maybe as with Walker the stats guys had said Cook had done his share with regards the team as we we were 2 - 1 up and we wanted a 100% fit Andy Cook for Tuesday night, hooked because he didn't score .

 

I have a few Donny friends who are in that end next week so they must have taken maximum allocation.

 

The one he fizzed just wide late in the second half would have been a cracker if the lad could have bent it a little more.

 

Not sure what the cost would be to make it safe standing but as @Kevin says great atmosphere back in the day, I could actually be prepared to help crowd fund it if it was doable and the club matched the crowd funding total, give the young un's a chance to experience a rocking Bradford End.

 

Watching the Gillingham fans video of the game I noticed the referee was on hand to make sure the players didn't extend their goal celebrations after scoring another feather in your cap, well done Mr Joyce.

 

Not sure about them deserving to go ahead if Kavanagh hadn't have touched Shepherd's header which was going in they would have been a goal down, funny how fans read games to suite their agenda not that we would .

 

He refereed the 1st leg of our play off semi final against Carlisle. I thought he did well then too.
