Post Newport game survey

I received the same email, I’ve a season ticket but being in Somerset only get to a few home games.
I’ve never had an email before this is a first.

 

Maybe they are trying to find out the impact of moving the game from Saturday to Monday at 8pm because of Sky
Although you do not need a survey for that in my eyes. The game live on tv , knocks the attendance and killed the atmosphere, The football league have sold their soul to the devil in my eyes.

 

I answered to say i turn up when I feel like it, similar to Rupp.

 

It wasn’t easy to fill in. My comments kept disappearing when I moved on to the next question.

 

What does the club receive from sky for the match.
It would be good to see if it is actually worth it financially, certainly not from the actual match point though.

 

Also the loss of matchday business to the local area, North Parade especially was a ghost town on Monday.

 

Yes, it was very quite as i headed up to VP. I love night matches, but not on Mondays at 8 and you still can not beat Saturday at 3pm. Although i am a bit of a traditionalist at heart.

 

The problem i have is that on apple wallet the tickets for me and my kids look the same.

i just scan in on the first one in the four in my ewallet whenever i load it up on the gate.

it looks like that first one is a kids ticket as the survey sent to me said I didnt attend, but i did! None of the kids turned up.

those ewallet tickets should be clearly labelled whose is whose! They all have the parent name on the kids ones. Seat numbers are on but no idea if seat x is mine, sons, daughters etc!

tried to fill out survey with ‘other’ as reason for not attending but the form deleted inputs upon attempted submission, so given up.

Feeling left out. Didn't get an email.
I had several reasons not to attend.
1) Feeling lousy after covid / flu jab
2) OH has Italian evening class on Monday night so I would have been on bus instead of usual lift
3) Son I normally go with couldn't go, it's his running club
4) It was on the TV.

 

We all have season tickets in our Apple wallets and it clearly states our names. Not sure why you have a problem?

Also if you are all not scanning in properly you are not accruing points.

I replied similar. Lots of reasons.

 

We all went to the game so no survey arrived. However we have missed midweek games in the past. My answers would be:

1. Midweek game, people might not finish work on time or have to be up early the next day.
2. Game was on Sky.
3. For people living outside of Bradford, it turns it into a long night, especially if the traffic is bad. We travelled from Wakefield and the M62 was actually OK for once but it often isn’t.
4. It’s a school night and we considered some of us staying at home as 10:30pm bed time is too late for an 11 year old.
5. The streets of Bradford are dark and dingy. Some people might not feel safe and secure.
6. Our recent form probably put some people off.

Thankfully the weather wasn’t bad or the crowd would have been even lower! There can’t have been more than 8,000 in the ground on Monday.
