Moore bid was nowhere near the upfront fee Barnsley paid Ipswich of nearly £400k rising to £750k
Posh never made a actual bid just enquired about if he was available by that time Barnsley were already in talks that is directly from posh chairman.

 

Think I would believe MacAnthony over Barry fry he is a chairman that says it how it is.

 

We were in for Dennis at the start of the January window, but would not match Chesterfield's valuation so we left it until the last day to make an increased offer that Chesterfield were prepared to accept on the proviso that they got cover in for the lad, they thought they had got Jonson Clarke-Harris but Coventry gazumped them and the deal was pulled.
Looking at how Chesterfield and Dennis have performed it looks like we missed a bullet there, he won't be a player I will be following closely in the near future.

Im not sure most people criticised the signings. The problem was the timing of them. We had no full backs and had to play Guy at right-back. Let’s face it, he’s a good midfielder but he’s no fullback.

And I’m sorry, but had we made an earlier offer for Dennis instead of fannying about over Moore, we may have got that one over the line and he’s more likely to have done a better job than Brunkner. He’s doing better, but he’s still not good enough to start, in my opinion, for a L1 promotion chasing side.
