I was at the end t City were attacking second half and I can remember Walker pulling off 3 excellent saves late into the game to keep us in it, but in all honesty Morecambe should have been out of sight by the time we scored, another woeful performance.
Of course scoring late and getting a point was better than getting beat but Alexander is kidding himself if he thinks any time during the 90 minutes we looked comfortable.
I was disappointed Sanderson did not get 15 minutes as he's looked the only strike partner who is comfortable playing along side Cook, Oliver was thrown on hoping he would win a header and create a knock down for a team mate.

Maybe it’s because they drill it into kids these days that it’s about the taking part that matters, inclusivity and all that.
You either have the win at all costs mentality or you don’t.
Personally, no matter what game or activity I’m doing, I’m upset if I lose.

I’m just glad I got to see the Premiership, championship exciting football and players we had.

Don’t think I’ll ever see that level of football in my lifetime again.

Unfortunately Bradford is not a city where anyone wants to invest and certainly not into a football club that trades as a loss or break even

League 1 and 2 has always been our level
The expectation of our fans has risen due to the fact we saw the dizzy heights of the premiership.

Take the cheap tickets and big stadium away, we would just fit in with the rest with low expectations

Or a team who could have put the chances they created away, that's been Morecambe's problem all season according to one of their fans I was talking to.

We've been watching City too long mate to let it effect us with post match stress.
At the time of replying I'm sat in the lounge of the Inn on The Prom with an ice cold beer I can assure you I'm well chilled ;).

Cooks record as a goal scorer is quality, but his all round game isn’t. He doesn’t have pace, struggles to control the ball, can’t hold the ball up, but certainly knows how to finish.
It’s a shame about Adams because he could’ve been the box to box midfielder we needed. I had hoped he would have been the legs for Smallwood or preferably replaced him.

I thought maybe a call from Walker would have helped, as it was going straight into his hands I was sat directly in line, there was little danger just an average punt into the box. Going a goal up so early in the game once again knocked any confidence we may have had and for the next 20 minutes it was all hands to the deck clearing balls into the box that the big lad was winning every one, during that spell we weren't even competing for second balls, another very poor performance

Also I think just before that Jamie Walker played a great ball through to Kav whose shot hit the keeper at the near post. I know it's all ifs and buts, but that goes in and its a whole different ball game.

It’s a shame we don’t go for the second goal when we score first. How often do we sit back instead of going for the jugular.

Having watched Oliver (again) I think we would be better playing with Mr Pole up front. Probably more effective.

Here we are again! It feels like every other season we are sitting watching City trying to grind a result out, and failing.

In my view GA has no idea what his best team is. There are couple of reasons, one he has been pushing is the injuries (why we have so many I will put aside) or he doesn’t have the players he wanted to put together a squad and he is trying to pick players who he thinks may be able to put a run together. The disastrous recruitment over the last few years have left him and ultimately us with players who have not been able to step up to the mark. This is why we look like the village’s best 11! This also eats away at confidence of the players, because they will know the manager doesn’t have any magic stardust and it is down to them to carry this ailing club.

The reason I am not asking for GA to be sacked is that quite a few more are responsible for this mess we are in. Nobody wants to step forward and accept responsibility, they hide behind the team and manager. The club do not care about the fans, I will say that again the club do not care about the fans! The only time they express any type of care is springtime when the annual shake down of fans occurs.

The rinse and repeat cycle is imminent, and I am losing interest.

We need a complete clear out at senior level - id even get shut of Sharpe as he has turned out clueless , we still have all these back room staff as part of the failure over the last few years; Gent, Truman et al we need fresh ideas and some nous in the right departments.

The team is boring , they play boooooring football, we aren't pragmatic , we are one dimensional without any effective or visible pattern of play, we don't set traps and we don't press high enough its just abject performance after performance

We need new investment and owners until that happens it just going to be the
    same shit on repeat

I showed no emotion whatsoever when we equalised last night, can't remember that happening before....it's grim, of that I have no doubt.....

I clapped but not in the usual joyous way, more like a token celebration like in a friendly.
The football is poor, very little entertainment and that stems from the manager.
I’d love a manager like Grant McCann who focuses more on attacking than defending. It’s all about creating chances and scoring more goals than the opposition.

Here we go again, the one player who's carried us for the past few seasons gets accused of not doing enough. He puts the ball in the net, gets plenty of assists and is excellent at defending set pieces. There are plenty of others that contribute a tiny fraction of what he does but no, the reason we are where we are is because Cook doesn't do enough.

I'm talking about quality. It's not about who contributes more than anyone else. The whole squad is lacking in quality. Cook does well with the scraps he gets, but the reason he plays for us and not in league one is because he has the shortcomings I mentioned earlier. There's no disputing his value to the squad.

I picked up an Alexander comment on sky class of 92 documentary when he was in the Salford boardroom discussing new signings....along the lines of:

'The goalkeeper, defenders, and holding midfielders are the most important positions and everything else pivots from there'

That shows the mentality of the man - defence minded in his teams style of play, first and foremost.

I found this line in the Width of a Post match review. “This was the 34th time he's come off the bench in the league for City since signing in 2022 - he's only scored once as a Bantams sub’. https://widthofapost.com/2024/10/02/implosion-avoided-for-now-as-bradford-city-earn-a-fortunate-draw-that-they-must-use-as-a-springboard/#like-31128
His performances for City are unsatisfactory, simple as. We would be better to pay him off in January and look for a better (if even short term) option.

He is apparently on 4k a week and that's why we can't shift him on
