I have absolutely no idea, but I would have thought Sarcaevic would have been his choice. That aside, with Gent and Sharpe in post, plus the accountants, without the injection of cash to the playing budget, it could be difficult to recruit players. Frankly the current squad doesn’t look anymore costly than last season! The lack of quality is telling.

ANOTHER disgraceful performance against a shite team. They were made up of a mad last minute scramble of nobodies, 18 players signed the day before the first game of the season, compared to our wonderful “slow and steady” and supposedly thought out strategy. And we struggled to compete for long periods, very fortunate to snatch a late draw

mega frustrating doesn’t even begin to describe it

Alexander tries to give the give the impression he is in control, players know what they should do, its all been carefully planned in training etc but its just a garbled series of soundbites....remind you of someone else at the club?

We are as usual going nowhere fast under another mediocre appointment, but sadly with the muppet brothers still in place nothings going to change.

Oh, if onlysomeone at the club had a pair of balls and some vision but we are like a stuck record

Basically we got out of jail tonight with a superb header from Jack Shepherd.
Another tidy performance from Jay Benn and Sam Walker alert on several occasions to thwart anything Morecambe could muster.
No chance with the early own goal what was Diabete thinking.

Did I hear correctly that was Benn's league debut? If so well done young fella - showed some passion, energy and purpose (things that are lacking in so much of our squad)

The only positive was not letting that prick Adams get yet another win over us.

Regarding us, no point dissecting as we know the issues. Rupp and Sparks out.

Trueman is one of the common denominators of our decline over the past 7 years. Why is he still here?

It might help if we played 10 yards further up the pitch. Whoever told Smallwood to sit amongst the centre halves when we have the ball, needs shooting. He receives the ball and looks up only to see his fellow midfielders, 30 yards up field, facing him with a wall of opposition behind them. The only out ball is to the centre halves, who pass between themselves and the full backs. You're not going to hurt any opposition when your talented players aren't getting the ball, or only receive it with their back to goal. Is Smallwood supposed to be playing at the base of the diamond? If so he's not good enough on the ball. We need a player who is strong enough and good enough to carry the ball forward, bringing the opposition out from the low block. It's too predictable, too pedestrian and too easy to defend against.

Mk Dons have seen an instant turnaround by appointing a non dinosaur of a manager who hasnt been around the block.

There are young managers and coaches out there for sure who would change our fortunes, unfortunately our motley crew in charge wouldn't have a clue on how to spot them.

I was hoping Sharpe would carry out a root and branch dissection of every aspect of the footballing side, but it looks like he's leaving the coaching side to Alexander. As head of football I'd like to hear his thoughts on how this season is going so far.

I can only presume you switched off before the end because Morecambe didnt get their first win last night, as poor as we were.

Imo the only way to sort this mess out is for a complete clear out from top to bottom, we all know its not gping to happen untill Heir Rupp gets what he wants for the club so its going to be repeat and rinse, looking at that debacle last night i could find not one redeeming factor, our only hope somewhere someone can step in before the inevitable happens, i wont even mention that word but it really is a probability and IMO it will eventually sadly happen iff this circus continues, most on here have been supporters for many years and have seen lt done bought the tee shirt but in this division there is no second chance has it was in the sixties when the voting system more or less guaranteed your place in the league ...right I've had my bit of a rant !

What i can make out about this Sharpe is it looks like he's just the fall guy for Sparks because lets face it he's not exactly been a blinding success whatever his job is

Exactly. Without major change in ownership and how the club is run there is only one way out of this league and it wont be promotion.
We won't get relegated this season, but with the gradual year on year decline under these clowns, the unthinkable may happen and that would be the death of our club as we know it.

Got a new three year contract whilst manager, then we couldn't pay him off when he and sellers were "sacked" so he just moved into the lesser role on the same packet.

I disagree. Platt said when he joined Notts that the reason he signed for them was because he wanted to play for a club that was going somewhere. That tells you all you need to know really. This is a player that has seen first hand the shambles we are behind the scenes and realised his chances of achieving promotion with us were virtually nil.

Alexander won't be removed from duties anytime soon, heck we can't afford the payoff. And even with how bad the football is its too early to be looking for yet another manager. But last night wasn't a one off, this season we've not impressed in any of the games played so far and yet again another truly woeful first 45 minutes where the opposition should have been out of sight. And no disrespect, that was a Morecambe side put together on a shoestring budget.
Still a long way to go and time to turn it around and the injury list has played a part, although to what extent remains debateable. Lets see how many turn up for a Monday night game on TV against Newport, it may be a good indicator to the general feeling amongst the supporters.

We can afford to sack Alexander because we did our transfer business on the cheap and sold Young which should pay up GAs contract
