When egos win, it rarely ends well. I honestly don’t know where the club goes from here and to be honest, I’m becoming less bothered as each game goes by.
We have some absolute morons at the helm and Sharpe hasn’t look much better.
I am so angry with the petulant, risky, egotistical and piss poor decisions made time and time again. It’s unacceptable!
What bothers me most is that as a fan base we don’t do a thing about it. We moan, we boo, we vent on social media and forums but that’s about as much effort we can muster.
We have the wool pulled over our eyes continually and then feel annoyed when it all goes tits up again.
I try and stay quiet but it’s clear that things at the top of the tree are broken and a fish rots from the head etc etc.
Sacking Alexander might help in the short term. His football is crap and I’m bored of watching us struggle 2 shots on target a game. Ultimately though this club will never move forward while Rupp and Sparks are pulling the strings. Sharpe appears to have made little progress and well the fact we are still paying Gent a wage is laughable. A little closed mafia at the top of BCAFC and it absolutely stinks.
No doubt we will beat Morecambe and the noise will die down again for a week or two but we all know that it will soon return. I’m sad tonight because as time goes on I’m just not arsed anymore. I’m pretty much done with Bradford City.

We have THREE centre backs out injured. No wonder we are struggling!

Doesn't explain why we struggle to create and score goals

It also doesn’t make any sense as Diabate and Shepherd are arguably the best 2 CBs at the club.

That doesn't explain the piss poor recruitment yet again.

Sparks needs to go.. we have to drive him out!!

Rupo is the owner and need to sell the club but Sparks is the key man we need out because he is one sh@te CEO.

Unfortunately the winning streak at the end of last season papered over some gaping cracks.
We were crying out for pace-not happened.
We needed to recruit with a view to building a squad that was going to create more chances, but we actually recruited for a 3 5 2 formation without any genuine wing backs - absolute madness!
Defensively we actually look worse and did so even before the glut of injuries.
Our recruitment has been disastrous throughout the Rahic/Rupp era, but added to that we seem to have manager after manager who seems totally clueless on how to get the best out of the squad we have.
The real depressing thing about yesterday is that it wasn't a surprise, and there will inevitably be more of that between now and the end of the season.
We ain't getting out of this division any time soon under this regime!!

The club remains an absolute shambles. It's needs a brand new direction and brand new leaders. Unfortunately though I have absolutely no idea where they are going to come from. Roll on season 7 in League Two - assuming we survived the drop

We’re a Poisoned Chalice for any manager and always will be under Rupps ownership, wheres that damn promised “investment” ?

flukey run at the end of the season to boost season ticket sales… something is sooo wrong with this club.

I wonder if i’ll ever see Bradford city in the championship in my lifetime again, im only in my 40’s.. actually sod the championship.. League 1 in my lifetime again ? Judging by the last 10 years… i dont think so… league 2 forever!

We are definitely a club with an identity but unfortunately it’s losing one, Apathy is our identity!
Disinterested Owner with no plan supported by a very poor lying CEO neither with any football knowledge or plan for the club.

A manager with a playbook that has only one page with a squad of players who mostly haven’t got the fight week in week out and let’s be honest some totally devoid of skill.

A clear out literally top to bottom is clearly needed

A great post mate it mirrors my thoughts exactly, infact after many seasons of being a supporter of the club im thinking whats the point, i gave up my season ticket hopefully thinking alot more would do the same to put Rupp under more pressure than he was at that time to sell, sadly that dident happen so we are were we are !

We are coming up to the 4th anniversary of Ryan Sparks becoming CEO.

His installation in his position was similar to Smithers (Julian Rhodes) picking Homer Simpson as Mr Burn's assistant to make him look competent previously rather than leaving the club in good hands.

We are heading down the track where GA will be removed and the clown who oversaw the appointment of the managers before pick another manager with no direction or plan.

I seriously think thousands will stay at home next Monday to watch the game on the TV because they really can't be arsed making the effort to attend a game they have already paid for, and this is 2 months into the season.

I will be staying at home to watch on tv for sure. I never thought I would stay away in favour of watching a match on tv, but there you have it.

I think the talk of investment, needs to be put in a wider context. It is not what the club spends but how it does it wisely. Last season undoubtedly Wrexham had a substantial war chest, and although l don’t know the exact figures, I anticipate that Stockport also had money to spend. I wouldn’t have thought that Mansfield had a bigger budget than City and certainly not Crawley.
So money isn’t necessarily the certain ‘game changer’. Look at the ‘red half of Manchester’, in the past ten seasons they have the highest net spend from any club in world football of €1.27b. There have been many high profile signings that haven't really worked out. I watched some of their match against Spurs, frankly it was even more embarrassing than our efforts on Saturday.
Salford are owned by this lot.
    upload_2024-9-30_14-1-14.png

The name at the bottom is the clincher. He is apparently worth between $1.75-2 Billion! Whatever people think about Rupp’s wealth, then he is a bottom feeder compared to Lim. Once again despite an Ultra-Mega Rich owner Salford (and the ‘pin ups’ class of 92), are floundering in this league.

I know we all want to see City play progressive and attractive football, but ‘investment’ on its own is not enough to propel this club forward. The choice of players, their individual and collective skill sets are important. Having ‘leaders’ on the field, is vitally important. Gary Jones was not necessarily the most technically gifted player, but he certainly made up for that with his personality.

I share the frustrations with everyone else, but it is simplistic to call for people’s removal/exit, when there is no obvious (or even unobvious) alternative. I would have thought City would be a relatively attractive proposition, given the crowds it attracts, the capacity of the stadium, and its proximity to major conurbations and travel options.

Before the suggestions of ‘getting rid of people’ are made, then there needs to be a viable alternative.

What are the qualities and experience Ryan Sparks holds to be the CEO of Bradford City AFC? We can start there.

Above all else, Sparks knows how to write a good persuasive letter (for his boss to sign) which is designed to sell a particular story to the gullible fans of our club which suggests additional investment will be provided to help the club compete in the transfer market with the mega clubs in the knazi division.

And it was successful ... and I include myself within the group of gullible fans ... but the pledge doesn't appear to have been delivered as yet!

I certainly understand your point. But before the club look to replace him, who is the alternative, what specific qualifications, experience and CV do they have?
Sparks has been the CEO for four years. I would assume that is sufficient time to ‘learn on the job’. He was at City beforehand, since 2018, so has been involved with the club for around six years.
