That was dreadful.

Got a good chuckle out of the commentator: 'Diabate has been excellent' - he was chronic first half, unbelievably bad.

Just an all round awful performance, even our goal was just League Two buffoonery rather than creativity.

 

At least Man City away will be a laugh next season when we are fighting with them to stay in the EFL

 

Well watching that display was a miserable experience. Benn looked good.

That apart I think we can unofficially say we won’t be troubling LG 1 anytime soon. This is not what we were promised from Rupp and Co. The recruitment has been done on the cheap yet again. I thought we might have learnt that having more doesn’t mean quality.

 

For the past few seasons our away form has given us a chance of doing something but this season we've completely flipped the form and look decent at home but awful away from home.

The shots on target stats are very worrying.

• Walsall - 2
• Grimsby - 4
• MK - 2

Since half time in the MK match we've had 7 shots on target in 3.5 matches, in that same time we've conceded 18 shots on target.

 

Alexander is a rubbish manager and he is wasting our time till the penny drops and we sack him. Trouble is Sparks could not pick a good replacement as he hires one duffer of er another and he needs to go as well. You do not get success by employing failure es

 

The decision to not add anyone creative is really biting us in the arse. All our guys, Pointon, Walker, Oduor, Wright, Pattison were all here last season and we struggled to create and score last season.

Just hoping that Pattison would add something now he's fit was far too naive. So many inconsistent players to call upon.

 

I'm slightly surprised reading this thread. Alexander has always been a long ball, hit and hope merchant so I'm not sure what people were expecting from him here.

He's just another in a long list of managers that we hire who are past their sell by date.

 

There is no better characterisation of this clubs ownership and running, than the fact that this continues to be our local derby, and that we continue to lose it.

Pointed this out last week and people didn't want to believe it.

Away form will cripple us, hopefully home form keeps us around midtable rather than a relegation scrap.

 

Relegation scrap written all over it this season. I've seen nothing to prove me wrong otherwise.

Yes, we've a few injuries, but a few games into the season and we don't know our best formation or tactics and we are at the stage of assembling a different group of players roughly every sixty minutes and hoping something works.

 

He is a nice bloke but his tactics and recruitment is questionable. If he was given everything he asked for then he has to go BUT I would not trust Sparks to recruit another dudd

 

I bet deadly Derek and his Shrimpers are bricking it now…..

 

Gutted, I cashed out on a harrogate win at £15, missed out on an extra £20.

Says it all that I felt it was worth a punt on the opposition. We look very poor at the moment, last week a case in point where we were lucky to get a point at home.

I want to support Alexander but that was a long long way short of what I expect from my football team. Harrogate wanted it more than us and if a manager can't motivate and set his team up correctly then I will start to question him.

 

Doesn't help that the recruitment was shite. 3 summer signings are all out for the season by looks of things (Adams, Johnson, Sarc). Oliver is pony. Kav is being played out of position for no reason. Halliday is off it an all of our CBs are injured

 

Guve me another 10 players that score but don't do much else anytime!

We are useless beyond description.

Not worth supporting.

 

Alexander needs to go and do it quick or will be another season wasted and the club having to make fruitless promises again next season.

 

We're a point ahead of where we were after 8 games last season. Thank god for the 'extra investment' because I dread to think where we'd be without it.
