I fail to see why he’s mentioned at all
Just a normal league 2 ref that we see week after week.
Not sure what fans expect playing at the lowest professional standard.

He certainly was.

 

The Adams one was bad and should have been a pen but the Oliver one was diabolical.

Smallwood doesn’t do anything wrong, the ball is there to be won. Their lads totally lose it and one of them should definitely have been sent off for his reaction.

Having said all that I thought that Wimbledon had the better chances and Wright was a liability at LB in the second half.

Injuries are really mounting up, having had to change to 442 because of all of the CB injures we’ve now lost our only player who can play as an out and out LB. We can’t catch a break.

 

Maybe we expect a man in charge to be a little lenient early doors and let the game flow but today I think we could feel a little aggrieved with his lack of implementing the rules for holding and shirt pulling and general spoil tactics most in attendance were witness to, no matter what league they are refereeing the rules are the same what is in dispute is how they are applied.

 

I’m not disagreeing mate that he was poor and stated earlier a few yellows were deserved but over the 90 mins, his performance wasn’t the reason we didn’t win

 

I'm not blaming the referee for the result we didn't do enough certainly second half but who know what we could have done first half if IMO the referee had given yellows after the first 2/3 lets say gamesmanship fouls, anyway have a good night I'm off to watch Dubois knock Joshua out .

 

So football officials can't influence the outcome of a game in any way whatsoever? That's your position?

 

We just don’t dominate teams, we don’t fly out the blocks, we don’t take the game to opponents every game is either boring or close to call.

Richard’s great but your defining a game on a LB performance what does that tell you

It would be nice if some of the many who have been slagging Richards off recently admitted he was having a good game prior to his injury, and yes I know it was only 45 mins. Interestingly he seemed far more willing to take a man on than Wright did. Wright does seem to look a bit sulky at times.

 

I’m talking about HIS INEPT performance!

The team performance ,for good or ill, is another debate altogether.

The ref was legitimately called out for various really poor decisions today. I suspect if we had been awarded two penalties as many suggest we should, then the outcome of today's game could have been very different.

Are you in favour of VAR ?

 

Agree mate, for goodness sake keep Wright away from that defence, he hasn't a clue and is a danger to us!
For me any team with promotion ideas does not have a Tyreik Wright in it - we need better.

 

I'm not defining the game on losing our right back but I'd say he was possibly our biggest influence going forward first half.
I bet every football fan asks that same question, I honestly didn't see much wrong with our first half performance, but without doubt losing Richards had a big influence with regards our defensive capabilities as we saw with what can only be described as a very poor defensive performance from Tyriek, that and Wimbledon believing they don't have to continue with their spoilt tactics and frustrate us but they could actually win the game.

 

He'd already whistled for the subs to come on instead of the free kick been taken.
