If we had var in league 2 there would be 4 or 5 penalties every game

    So many attacking options.

    Such little threat.

Has to be down to Alexander's tactics.

Highlight today was definitely the 50 seat coach driver who decided he was going to attempt a 3 point turn on Manningham lane at 4.55pm just as 1000’s of fans and countless cars headed towards the city centre.

Brightened my day up if nowt else.

Well as you mentioned it, first let me say we got what we deserved from the game which we could easily have lost BUT the referee was IMO shocking Wimbledon were at their antics from the first minute pulling shirts and generally trying to disrupt the game which they certainly succeeded in doing the first half, why were they allowed to get away with it without one yellow, once Richards went off they realised they could make a game of it and maybe should have gone home with all 3 points.
I'm all for letting the game flow but the referee let them get away with their spoiling antic especially first half.

Not heard Alexander post match interview but Richards must have an injury he and Wright played well together first half, I cant see Alexander taking him off, another soft tissue injury ?.

    I’ll say it again
The same thing said before the season after a dismal transfer window

We won’t score enough goals to win games

Proved last season with 61 measly ones

Be lucky if we score 50 this season.
    Top 10 if lucky

We were weak in Midfield going forward and not mobile enough up top once Sanderson went off.
GA should have grown a pair and took off the ineffective Cook instead of Olly.
Thought both centre backs and Pattison performed admirably.
    Halliday was again really poor.
Pointon was taught a physical lesson today.
We need to move on though, even with a severely depleted team we got a point.

We needed a Tyler Smith today to run in behind.
For me we settled for a point before kick off.

Nothing but a midtable side for me nothing over the start has shown anything else .........seasons will be down to injury prone players not being injured yet another recruitment team gem.

Honestly i used to get wound up sit there angry go home angry sit there stewing all night but i simply cannot be arsed thats what the likes of Rupp and Sparkes have done for me.

Ref wasnt the best dont get me wrong but he made no difference to the result and if Wimbledon had have had a real go they would have seen us off easily

Myself and the lady who sits next to me were having exactly that conversation from about the second minute. First one of their players stood right in front of a free kick which refs are supposed to be clamping down on this season. Then Wright was cynically pulled down when going past the fullback. If the ref had acted then he wouldn't have had the problems later. But he didn't and just ignored blatant fouls, mostly by Wimbledon, for the rest of the game. We should have had two penalties but in truth we were very poor and couldn't have complained if we'd lost. Wimbledon had much the better chances and really should have taken one. We created next to nothing. Two centre halves plus Halliday to an extent were excellent. Wright awful, Cook and Sanderson ineffective, the rest anonymous. So I'm happy with a point.

One of the worst referees in recent memory, just dreadful.

It was clear from about 20 minutes in he was making a rod for his own back with the pathetic lack of enforcement, and once it was clear he wasn't giving a yellow for pretty much anything, Wimbledon's back 3 just filled their hands with shirts time and time and time again.

Richie eventually snapped, it caused a huge ruckus, the referee had zero control at that point, and we can even claim he's injured one of our players (Adams) who was fouled non stop after coming in - against which that clown took no action.

I hope that referee is utterly ashamed of his performance tonight.

    A true disgrace.

Why did we replace a running/mobile forward with someone the same as Cook when we had shown very little willingness to get the ball in the box from wide areas?

    Sometimes GA's decisions baffle me.

Today needed Kavanagh or Smith to come on and harry their backline not another big lad when we hardly crossed the ball all second half.

Referee gave them carte blanche to use any old tactics defensively, no wonder they keep clean sheets if they're allowed to do what they like.

    Mind boggling stuff.

I did like the two garden gnomes either side of the pitch, they were very pretty. Any idea what they were for?

I think today just highlighted how ineffective assistant referees are in the modern game.
They basically just give offsides now.
They don’t even give thrown ins in the most part.
The majority wait until the ref either gives a signal and then agree with him or get told which way to flag.
Today’s on the main stand side couldn’t possibly miss what was happening regarding the Oliver shirt pull.
So he had either been told not to get involved, ignored by the ref if he did tell him or bottled the decision to tell the ref what he was seeing.
But he was quick enough to tell him what he’d seen after the handbags at the end.

It’s a hard enough job being a ref at the best of times but most don’t seem to want to use two assistants to help them get the big decisions right.

    Just poor!

Not point looking at the ref. We were shite end of.

    Pointon- shite! Looked lost.

    Wright - shite! Looked clueless

    Cook - Shite!

None of our best players stepped up and GA didn’t make the key decisions that were required.

They were physically much stronger and taller man for man but we persisted in using high balls and sitting too deep in centre midfield reliant on play down the wings that was largely ineffective. I felt Alexander got this one wrong and played into their hands. A point was a reasonable result overall.

Agree except for Halliday. Thought he played pretty well. Oliver should definitely have replaced Cook.

Dreadful watch was that. Not an ounce of quality from either side. To create only one big chance at home is criminal.

Only positive is Shepherd and Diabate. Alexander has lucked out and found his best CB partnership purely because it was forced on him.
