A full pre season and even more to get the recruitment right with added investment and this is whats happened ...........inbalanced side with investment magically disapearing yet again and more crocks brought in

Fook me how many years have that recruitment team got it wrong and they are still there ............. the signing of Oliver aline should have been enough but they continue to bring mediocrity to the club.................surly within the national leagues alone there is enough hungry players who actually will put the shift rather than piss poir players who fail at other clubs but we take them in.


I honestly thought with Sharpes introduction that our targets would be different but has anything really changed .............. was we not told that there was a long term plan ??????

Seems to me thats it yet another poorly assembled squad that is hoping on sheer luck to get us up.

Still folk will defend it and make out we are actually a good squad sorry i dont see it ..........its average at best.

We are basically a couple of injuries away from our season taken a nose dive like it did last season

 

Its gone on for years now i simply dont get it

 

Ah but, the season ticket sales were healthy and, that's all that matters.

 

Sharpe has done absolutely nothing to improve things on the playing side, major disappointment to me so far.


And i agree with a previous comment, Alexander has made a very average start to the new season so little surprise this is largely how the team has been. Are we capable of a 90 minute performance?

 

My concerns throughout June, July and August. Alarm bells were ringing when we started bringing in reserves from promoted sides and then young, cheap loans from the leagues above.

Rupp hasnt invested, the recruitment team is a sham and Alexander has left his squad hideously unbalanced.

Thats the top and bottom of it.

 

Sharpe is a puppet for Sparks and also the fall guy when things go tits up. A waste of 6 figures.

 

Agree they don't even have the sense to go down holding their heads, then gain they didn't need to with yesterdays referee, I found it strange them going down for nothing when you would have thought first half they would have wanted to keep the momentum going as we were all over the place.

 

Everyone is a puppet for Rupp, how many have come in and failed under his leadership? If you include managers and players then it’s too many to count. Until an offer comes in and he accepts we’ll never progress.

 

I simply didnt get the point of appointing Sharpe if Sparks was staying. Doesn't make sense to me.

 

1st reserve for Sparks if he gets his marching orders?

 

Sharpe only has the career he has due to nepotism. A rich boy playing important football boss. He's obviously done well at times in previous jobs but I'd argue how much he actually did at Mansfield or if Clough made his job easy

 

Are we seriously writing the season off after 6 games. Please get a grip.

 

Far from writing the season off. We may well go up but if we do, I really don't see it via the autos as we look way off top 3 material.
We may get in the play offs but that will then be a lottery. Just hoped for much more this season. Really hope to be proved wrong

 

It's not about writing the season off. It's about seeing what's in front of you and making a judgement whether they are genuine promotion contenders. You look for little chunks that may come into fruition further down the line. You judge whether the players on show can make the step up to a higher league if achieved. You look at tactics, togetherness, attack and defence foundations and judge whether we are a step above the majority in this league.
Early doors but the general consensus is a no from me. Truly hope to be proved wrong!

 

Where tf have I wrote the season off? I’ve not mentioned the season, not the first time you’ve twisted my words or misquoted me and I’ll say what I’ve said before don’t bother responding to me.

 

Its not about writing the season off we could go on a decent run but from what i have seen we havent looked like a team that is gonna push on ..............god forbid either Walker or Cook get injured because thats us really screwed .............. i thought with Sharpe on board we would be looking at different way of recruiting a long term plan that involves building a hungry young team that will evolve into something better .............sadly it looks like the same crap we have had to put up for years now .............lets simply hope come January we are up around the top 7 and invest some money in because frankly if that doesnt happen then im done with it till this mickey mouse set up is gone.

Nope, others can see it and you have form for it. You should try growing up rather than telling others to as it’s funny how I can have a sensible debate with anyone else on here. Btw when that fraud of an owner where were we? I’d say progress is anywhere above where you start.

 

How exactly?
We are 6 games into a new season and have won 3.
I’m not saying the performances have been pretty but this is league 2, they won’t be. I saw Wrexham and stockport 5 times last season and their football was turgid in every one of those games yet both were promoted.
We could get promoted this season could we not? Would that not be ‘progress’?
