Totally agree. Not seen anything this season so far that gives me confidence that we have a promotion winning squad. I'm sure we will be top 10. With luck we may sneak into top 7 but for me that's the best we can hope for.
    Very underwhelming!!

Struggling with what I've seen so far and the transfer window to see how we've improved from last season...

We haven’t. We are just another bog standard league 2 team. I actually think we might be successful this time round but I think this is the most open League 2 has been for a long time. Results so far show everyone is very evenly matched.
We were poor today and didn’t think we deserved anything from it. 5 shots with only 2 on target is what we see time and time again and it hasn’t been rectified.

I might be alone here but to lose 2 of your back three and then have to change formation is a blow most teams would struggle with. It's something that probably isn't practised upon during the week. All things considered I don't think we deserved to lose. We were definitely the better side second half once we got to grip with the changes and should have gone ahead. Let's hope some of the injuries aren't as bad as first feared.

Strangely, we actually threatened a lot more in the second half than the first and GA can complain all he likes about the ref but it was his decision not to replace Byrne which certainly helped with their first goal.

Really composed finish by Sanderson which is very promising but we ultimately didn't manage to take our chances and suffered because of it.

We havent bud and that really is the sad about it :( big hitters Stockport, Wrexham even Mansfield out of the way surly the time to invest and get out of this damn league but nothing :( all empty lies false promises to boost season tickets sales fooking pathetic.

There should be signs of something but we are talking odd moments not games where we dominate, odd moments and can a team really do anything on the back of the odd moment.

How many games in ???? 8 including the cup games and have we looked like dominating a game ???? Well apart from 10 men Bromley is been the same performances that have gone on for years.

I hope come May i am wrong i hope my posts are mocked come then but to me it looks like another season of pee poor recruitment .......late substitutions and yet another manager on his way and the cycle goes on again honestly you can predict whats coming in 12 months down the line already :( and until that cycle is broken then look forward to years of this.............and the last 6 years backs me up

Really? Only seen the one replay but I thought he got the ball. That said, not the wisest of challenges as he gave the ref a decision to make

He can criticise all he likes. This was the second time in two game where we created absolutely nothing in the first 45 minutes, relying on a mistake from Walsall to score. Personally I can't do with his reliance on wing backs to be the creative spark, neither of ours are particularly good at it. And with having Walker and Oduor forward and wide first half it left Smallwood wide open against the impressive Walsall number 25, the best player on the pitch. Yet another game where Andy Cook is feeding off scraps, his one created chance bringing a fine save front the keeper. We looked better after the formation change forced on Alexander, Pattison taking the heat off Smallwood, in turn bringing others into play.
Very frustrated coming home watching that, the three at the back with average centre backs continues to be a problem both defensively and creatively. Our best chances crested from their mistakes I'd much prefer to see us go with a flat back 4 and give Smallwood an extra body in midfield.at this stage we.dont look like a team that will push for automatic promotion.

Don't agree. I thought at the time, the pass to their forward was just in front of him which enabled Smallwood to pass the ball backwards without even making a tackle. The forward carried on his run and fell over Smallwood. I've watched it back a number of times and defo think this is right. Anyhow, the decision encouraged the forward to repeat his theatrical dive shortly afterwards.

We have lost 2 away games and our managerial decisions have been questionable in both of them. At least today he didn't make 3 changes for 1 injury but the timing of his substitutions was very questionable. Bobby for Odour after 80 mins and leaving a cb on with a hamstring injury?

I think those of us who have had a negative opinion on Rupp, Sparks and Gent, our opinion hasn't changed and it was up to them to change it with a strong transfer budget/quality Signings. In my opinion our defence isn't better than last season and that is another backwards step for a club who has ambitions of promotion.

That was abysmal, Deja vu from the Grimsby game. Let’s not kid ourselves here, ref might have been woeful but we know after all these years that we cannot rely on them in this shitty league. Yet again we have been sold down the river by sparks and co, cheaping out and buying shite sub standard injury prone players rather than seasoned pro’s

It’s not a knee jerk reaction either before any of you start. I am fed up of seeing them turn up for only half a game while we get our arses handed to us on a plate by equally shitty teams. I want my efforts at away games to be reciprocated by the players, unfortunately we cannot defend for toffee and I will be amazed if we finish in the top 10

I mentioned earlier this week, we haven't played well at all this season. If MK could finish, if Bromley had 11, if Carlisle even closed to earn thier money, we could easily be on 5 or 6 points right now and be about 18th and have no complaints with the way we've played.

Not just on the ball but off the ball we have no cohesion either. Some need a massive kick in the arse.

Pretty even game over 90 minutes. I think a draw would have been a fair result.

Frustrating way to lose it so late in a game from a defendable cross where we had 2v1 in the box. On another day we could have easily won it with the pressure/chances in the second half.

Despite the constant debate about our defence I’d say the bigger concern is our goal threat. Similar to last season I’d say any failings this season will be down to us not scoring enough goals when we are on top in games.

The use of Oliver is baffling, I was saying during the game to bring Smith on in the last 5-10 minutes to run off the shoulder and try grab a goal from all the knock downs in the box. Instead we bring on Oliver to play alongside Cook which has never worked and ended up costing us possession given the constant fouls he gave up.
