In my example away fans would be charged the same as home fans, it's just that once the away section has sold out, the price could be set lower for both home and away fans, except segregation would stop any further away tickets being sold.

Dynamic pricing, for football matches, has already started in Europe and I think a lot of clubs will be looking at it as for many, it would significantly increase their match income.

Doesn't appear ticket points for home games so far this season have been added.
Just the Sunderland friendly that's it.
Thought they were added automatically under the new system.

It would be much easier to give each season ticket holder the points, after each home match, regardless of whether or not they attended. It would avoid a lot of hassle for the Club and supporters and, after all, season ticket holders have paid for the matches.

I would guess that most supporters have had at least one occasion where they didn't get points for a match they attended or got points for one they didn't (I've had both). It seems Ryan Sparks's approach on this one must have caused a lot of wasted time for the ticket office staff and for what benefit?

    Yes that's a valid point.
My biggest pet hate with the ticketing saga is the fact they advertise the all singing and dancing digital future but fail to deliver 90% of the time leading to extra manual work for the ticket office staff who quite frankly do there best under circumstances that should and could have been avoided on implementation of the Ticketmaster partnership.

Yep they have clearly jumped into bed with ticketmaster without having the means to know what to do with her once in bed.

nothing is ready, cant download STs to the app, the manual scanners in the stands are still hit and miss, the digital tickets in the wallet dont even show you which ticket holder has the QR code you are scanning, i probably wont receive points for the salford game, as i just used the first QR code in the wallet which belongs to my 11 year old nephew.

points arent being updated, fees being charged are plain daft and everything is having to be done manually, its almost like we are just happy to be in partnership with "world leading company" like ticketmaster

I wonder how the finances stack up for City with Ticketmaster? I can't imagine Ticketmaster make much money from the agreement.

By contrast, the fees on a £25 ticket for Gorilla venue were £7.50 for me recently. For a 600 capacity they are clearing in excess of £4,000 a night, at least 100 nights a year, using a system which only needs the price parameter altering.

Suppose it depends on the demand or the game, how many paid online for the game the other night? I paid £5 for my ticket and had a £1.50 applied all because I was too idle to wait in the ticket office queue and bought whilst in the car near the ground instead, l'd have to double check but I'm sure I paid £2.50 per ticket when buying for the Sunderland friendly earlier this summer.

It not going to be millions, but even averaging a couple of grand per away game and cup games (worked at 1k tickets at £2 a go) still near on £50k per year.

Your absolutely spot on and obviously supporters are generally not happy with progress if there's any being made it's pure and simply a disgraceful situation.

Ticketmaster are taking over football and so the more clubs they have the better for them. One of their big selling points is that as they have so many clubs they can integrate away ticket sales on the away club's system if they are ticketmaster like we what happened with the MK away match and Bromley did for the match at ours. From that the home club can track sales in realtime and they can make it paperless tickets for all fans meaning clubs don't have to bother printing loads of away tickets and send them to the away club and the away club then doesn't have to deal with distributing the tickets so less work for them.
The fees that fans pay cover the Ticketmaster fees, they won't make loads but when it's added up between all of the clubs it will be a decent amount.

The details about which QR code is for which can be found by clicking the 3 dots on the top right then it brings up customer name, number etc.
My points for Salford have been added this afternoon so I'd assume everyone elses will be added on soon if not already. Realistically I don't think we've gone with Ticketmaster just because of the name, we've gone with them as they are the best for us and there's a reason they are taking over football especially outside the top clubs. I know that one of the alternatives we were looking at are not as good and I doubt they could cope with club our size, they've got 2 other clubs in this country and they've had big issues with both. There aren't many options out there who would be able to operate at our level, we've probably got the best available.

The three dots seems to give the customer name rather than the ticket holder name, or it does in my case. So both mine and my dads shows my brothers name as the customer for some reason, I presume that when the tickets were purchased they were done through his account, or his ticket first

Do you think it will be around a fortnight after the game points will be added for home games or are these teething problems.

It should be automated as long as the scanners are synced with the system and the option is turned up. I don't know it wouldn't be turned on. Looking at the points from the sunderland friendly they were also added manually the Friday after the game. At the moment I've not got any points from the game on Tuesday even though points for them are meant to be awarded regardless of if you attend or not so that sounds like it's an issue with the core system or points aren't set to be applied automatically.
It looks like the supporters board had a meeting with the club this week so we'll have to see if this was brought up or not when they release the minutes.

I spoke face to face with a member of the supporters board and they said they would raise the issue at the next meeting.
Hopefully this issue will be addressed sooner rather than later.
I voiced my concerns regarding the implementation of the Ticketmaster rollout and note that two home games Salford and Bromley have now been manually applied yesterday before the sale of the Harrogate Away fixture.

I can see the name of the ticket holder of the front screen so no need to go into the information bit

Sorry if I’m being stupid, it’s my first time buying tickets on this new system, I have added a friend to my friends and family network, and bought two tickets for Saturdays game, one under my name, and one under his but I’m a bit confused about a few things:

    1) the tickets don’t show up anywhere on my account, if I click on manage tickets it says this (see screenshot), I have the tickets in my email inbox, but should they not show up on my online account

    2) it still shows us both as having 0 loyalty points, should we not have received some for buying the tickets?

    3) how do I assign the ticket to him so he gets point as well as me, I have done all the adding to network/changing assign/manage permissions but I can’t see the tickets or any way to assign them to him?

I don't know the answer to question 1 but for the others.
    2) Loyalty points seem to be being added after the game so they should show after the game.
    3) You assign tickets just before checking out, if you bought the 2nd ticket under your friend's name then they should get their points.

Go here to see purchase history.
The email from the club should contain the QR code / your tickets. They won’t be anywhere else.
If you lose the email you can choose resend email

points are only added once the ticket is scanned at the turnstile

assigning the ticket correctly before checkout ensures points are added to correct person
