Absolutely dire sorry it was poor all overs. This team is so predictable I said this morning to myself the weak minded players we have will use transfer window as an excuse for next month of poor results I for see.

Take on today. Had the game under control for the first 25 minutes without ever looking like creating a goalscoring chance. Baldwins injury and Byrnes subsequent move to the right and Walkers flap at the free kick leaving us 1-0 and lucky to not go in 3 down at HT. Second half and more pathetic defending sees us 2-0 and game over. Better when Walker and Oduor came on, but not enough created to deserve anything.
Overall fundamental problems that have been evident in other games but we've got away with. The back three needs changing and we still don't have a mobile presence in the centre until Walker and Oduor came on, Grimsby's number 20 yet another player who showed us what we badly lack. GA hasn't got the midfield balance right yet and that will continue to hamper us long term til he does. Until the aforementioned subs were made the only attacking threat was a flattering to deceive Tyriek Wright. No wonder Andy Cook has bugger all to work.
Very much work in progress, hopefully we get to see what the likes of Diabete and Joe Adams can bring in the coming weeks.

I remember getting pelters when I said towards the end of last season that Kav is absolute bobbins. He should have been sent out on loan to NL and we should have spent the Young money on a decent proven striker. We’re going nowhere the way we are playing at the moment.

 

To be fair, he was right about him being a right lazy f*cker. Couldn't even be arsed to sit on the bench for Stevenage today.
