We needed another defender to cover the central/right side as I don't think anyone is confident Johnson will be fit anytime so and if/when he is that he will stay for for a substantial amount of time. As long as we've got a fair price for Young it is right for everyone to cash in for him now and we still have 5 senior strikers.

So we've let two central midfielders go and lost a striker today. Then we have signed a central defender and a right back. Lads, I think Sharpe has been on the wacky backy here

Now the dust has settled, today sees a pretty strong squad assembled and three players currently not in with a chance of playing leaving the building .

Onwards and upwards.

It shows a complete lack of a footballing plan. Almost like signing an injury prone right back, who doesn't feature in pre season due to injury, then signing another with almost no league experience on loan.

Everything about this club is amateur, disjointed, disingenuous and backward thinking.

So, to conclude our window. We've moved on some high earners and brought in cheaper alternatives and apparently, this is “going for it” and moving away from being only sustainable. Well, at least we now have three right backs at the club
