Something I said weeks ago. Touting him around the EFL and using clickbait via the usual suspects inc Nixon and gullible twitterati is completely unfair on the player as it’s casting doubt of his intent amongst, managers, staff and fans . Shameful .

I was saying this to someone earlier that the way that his agent must be under pressure and since Saturday it has screamed an agent in trouble and trying desperately to create a move. He has 2 great opportunities to get Young a move but it hasn't happened. It would be interesting to know what the conversations with Fleetwood were and why it seems their offer was rejected. At that point I would say it was time he accepted he wasn't going to get a league 1 move so go to Fleetwood where he can have a fresh start then if he does well I'm sure he'll have League 1 offers within the next 12 months. I can't see how staying here does him any good, I think he's going to struggle to get regular minutes as I think Kavanagh is the type of forward Alexander wants. If he doesn't do well then his stock is going to be even lower then we start all over again in January with will he stay or go. This is the 4th transfer window he's been in stuck not knowing where he'll be at the end of the window and that can't be good for any player.

 

If it remains at 300k he will be here till his contract runs out

There is no doubt about the potential interest in Young but not at 300k which is being put about. Stevenage will hope that city will give in and let him go much cheaper at the eleventh hour. Better letting him go out on loan and see if he can repeat the form of last autumn. If he can bring him back and sell him then

 

Only problem with that is that he's played for us this season so we couldn't loan him out then sell him to someone else in January as he wouldn't be able to play for them with the 2 club limit.

I don't think we will. We'll go with Kav and Sanderson competing for a spot. Smith and Oliver as back ups until Jan. Just hope this money doesn't go towards balancing the books.
