As much as I think he has been a poor signing and NEVER shown he was capable of retaining the striker role if he goes without a replacement we could be in trouble, but if he's commanding one of the top salaries in the squad it's would certainly be tempting, strange how his name hasn't been mentioned during Alexanders pre match interviews or have I missed it surely being concussed isn't still effecting him ?.

 

He has been a good player during his career and taking over and manager lost his fitness so we never really saw the player at his best. But he is a gent and I hope he has a good career in management

 

He won't score another 31 in the rest of his professional career

 

Unless he takes up darts or snooker

Easy for us to say but he had that opportunity and thought he could continue playing, when to be honest after Hughes had gone it was less of a chance.

Carlisle have just signed midfielder Harrison Biggin on loan from Shrewsbury. I expect Gilly will be announced at Shrews imminently.

If Young is to go to either Crawley or Stevenage, he’ll have to get a shift on to do the medical in time unless he does it locally.

 

He's signed a 2 year deal with them.

 

If you take out his 1 good and 1 OK seasons for Gillingham, he's scored 31 in 268 EFL League games across the rest of his career...... it's the safest bet in the world that VD doesn't score 31 more in his pro career. At this rate I'd be amazed if he features in 31 more EFL games.

Crawley have just bought Will Swan from Mansfield Town for a fee.

I think that's their striker situation sorted. They have 5 or 6 in the building now.
