FFS, how many messages this season about misspelling his name.
We need a nickname to stop it.....Nile Rodgers link maybe?

From what Gary Caldwell has said it looks like they are still keen on him and if he does well they could recall him. It sounds like this loan spell could be make or break for his Exeter future. I highly doubt he will start tomorrow but I'd expect he'll start against Newcastle on Tuesday, from what people are saying it seems like he will be better suited to the middle than the right CB.

    Good luck to the lad.

All three CB positions are up for grabs. Let's see who performs well and is consistent.

Exeter were levels above us that day, a club that has a track record of bringing through young players. Would have like the signing to have been permanent but Caldwell mentioned they are looking at this loan spell to develop the player.

Don't start that nonsense again. He's a central defender, not a full back. Does that answer your question?

I'm hoping with a couple of weeks he's very much the first centre half on the team sheet because that's the weakest area of the squad.

Definitely a make or break for his Exeter career then. Hopefully he is doing well and Exeter will be glad they put the break clause in as they can call him back and force us to pay a fee if we want him back.

I can't make my mind up yet. I think as we're more front footed (that's definitely the intention) we're more likely to be exposed at the back.

I could see this defence only conceding, say 50 goals (it was 44 I think in the play-off season) and I think that would still give a good season.

I don't see Platt as a big of a miss as some do - we needed CB's who can play the ball better and all three seem a step up in that area.

I thought Kelly would be the weakness, but think he's looking increasingly constant and in fairness to him has been ever present during this ten match unbeaten run.

Baldwin looks a good footballer as well (he was one of the few players with >90% pass stats) which is a big help for Halliday - them two linked up better than previously last week.

Ciaran Kelly should end up playing hundreds of games for this club.

The only area of real weakness is distribution, but we've already signed someone to address that part of the back line.

I rated Platt and was glad we offered him a new contract but he's been bigged up way too much just because we've now lost him. I sit in the Kop and Platt got so much stick every week. I'd say only Smallwood got more and Ridehalgh / Taylor when they played. The same ones are obviously now fuming that we couldn't keep him and moving on to a new scapegoat. Mind you Cook gets plenty of stick around me aswell so you learn to block it out

Ooh a touchy little monkey. I asked if he played central to compete with Byrne on to the left or right of him

You have been telling us that daily all summer it’s early days but especially with Baldwin what we have seen tells us a different story
