I can see this dragging on until deadline day as it clearly looks like he's holding out for a move to league 1. At this time of the window it's impossible to know who to believe or not but I wouldn't be surprised if the bit with Sky Sports is being fed by his agent to try to get clubs in league 1 to make an offer. I also wouldn't be surprised if we allowed Alexander to talk about the accepted bid then Simon Parker to do his article on Fleetwood being the only club with a bid accepted in the hope it will trigger other clubs to bid for him and create a bidding war.
At this stage it's in our interest and his/his agents interest for multiple bids. If he is Fleetwood player by 11PM on Friday then I think we can all be confident the accepted bids from league 1 clubs didn't happen as there's no way he turns them down for Fleetwood.

 

I wonder if we will take a look at Cheick Diabate from Exeter? They have said he is out the plans and are trying to find a new club for him. He's a 22 year old CB going into his final year of his deal. He's had 76 appearances in his 3 seasons with the first team since joining. He's started 53 league games so far, which is exactly the same amount of EFL league games started as Critchlow, another in the window but Diabate is 3 years younger.

On paper, he does tick that "buy young with a potential to sell-on" box that Sparks and Gent talked up last season. I'd prefer an experienced head for the remaining CB slot, just because we don't seem to have a lot of EFL exp in the CB room with Byrne having 82 EFL starts at 31 years of age, Baldwin has 47 starts at 27 and Kelly has 35 starts starts at 26 (also 70 odd start in the Irish Prem but that is an iffy standard at best).

 

Wednesday used to be the day off but I'm wondering if it's been moved to Tuesday or Thursday this year. All the pressers have been done on Wednesdays so far this season and there has been a player present at each one as well as GA, and I'm sure they wouldn't be asked to come in for that on their day off.

 

I still think Tomkinson could be the last centre half. Clearly not in Norwichs plans, they'll look to send him out on loan again and we make sense. Getting him permanent would be brilliant too.

 

Nowhere near CC quality Jordan imho. It’s not even amazing anymore how many don’t want him. I wonder why?

 

The club did make a decision Steve and agreed a fee with Fleetwood to sell. It appears Young has turned then down and will hoping for further bids before the weekend.

 

So you blame the club, when it appears if true, that the player himself kicked all this off himself?

Any footballer who can’t follow the instructions of a coach / manager is asking for trouble, what has it brought him….Very little or zero interest in his services because I said it before , word gets around the EFL managers association.

Frankly no matter what we think of MH, JY is honestly reaping what he sowed ? .

 

To be fair, we don't know anything really other than contradicting reports going between Simon Parker and Sky Sports this morning.

I think there is a good player in there for sure, his start for City a few years back he looked a real threat and then the Hughes debacle happened. His forward play at Swindon was immense for the short spell. I wouldn't be surprised if he went to a L1 club and ended up scoring well, I also wouldn't be surprised if he has 3 or 4 more clubs in the next 5 seasons and floats around the lower levels. Feels like a situational player who needs certain things around him to fit into place.

 

We've already bought Young with the potential to sell on!

Not blaming the club for anything Kev? After all nothing has happened yet. I'm just stating that we fans cannot be blamed for being skeptical, and nothing they do at the moment would surprise me in the slightest

The truth is none of us on here or indeed any other social media platform know what is truly going on behind the scenes, what has been said and who is driving it. All we have is speculation. But the fact of the matter is, Young has never seemed to give it his all from day one of being back from Swindon, and I agree with you he will reap what he sows

Those walls won't paint themselves m8 and we need a couple of new chairs in the hub. The £50,000 will be gone in a breath.

 

My take is zero! We have been round many of these type of scenario’s and from my experience it is much better not to try and blame one party or another, we don’t know, and maybe we never will. If there are several clubs after him, it could get messy before Friday.

 

You have no knowledge on the matter so why challenge my suggestion IF IT IS TRUE ?
