Disagree. The words used were "looked ordinary".

There's a difference between digging in, being hard to beat (which is what usually happens) and playing well (I.e. not ordinary) but I'm sure you semantic ninjas will find a way to reply and twist words again!

We played really well first half and should have gone in three or four up. Less so second half especially after the substitutions

It was a well taken free kick and resulting goal.Whipped in set pieces like that are extremely hard to defend . They will do ok for sure , but they were pretty much battered for the whole of the first 45 if we were honest and four past their keeper in that period wouldn’t have been surprising.
As you say they will do ok.

a tad argumentative and flippant this morning. ;) Twisting words really?

As I said earlier, EVEN the professsionals acknowledge playing against 10 can be difficult. First half we didn’t find playing against 11 or indeed 10 difficult , whereas in the second half we took our foot off the gas and they simultaneously got to grips with us.

The first 45 mins of the game we looked unstoppable, just a shame we only scored 3 by full time

Never mind, next home league game is Carlisle, we can carry on the good work against that lot, god knows we owe them one. Let’s bang a few in and ensure Lewis and Wyke get sent back to Cumbria with even more hate from their fans. The amount of criticism they are getting off their own on social media at the moment is great to see

Would not be surprised if Lewis does not play in that game.If his confidence is already shot, the last thing he needs is the kop on his back. They may even have a new keeper by then,or they will play the young lad Breeze.

Yes. It's great that we have good enough players on the bench to enable GA to do this

Halliday got loads of the ball, but he isn't a winger so he isn't going to skin his man one on one. He needs more movement / help from the players in front of him so he can pass and go on the overlap. On the other side Pattison was regularly available for Wright.

they actually went 4-3-2, which I thought showed a bit of tactical naivety- it was the reason Wright and Halliday seemed to have acres to play in. This, coupled with their inability to deal with balls into the box, meant we were able to create chances at will.

First half Bromley looked as poor a team as you’regoing to get at this level- they completely froze. The second half was a non-event really- it would have been nice for us to kick on and get four or five but the game was won by then.

We still seemed to want to walk the ball in or shoot from poor positions. Whatever we do in the final third still doesn't come naturally, which all good teams seem to do. I think had Walker been on from the start he'd have worked better openings, something I'm still waiting for Sarcevic to do.

I’m also a little worried if we go into the season with Kav and Sanderson as our second and third choice strikers- neither look particularly strong options in that regard

This reminds me of when @banbrotam@banbrotam told us all how useful Afoka and Tulloch were after the Newport game last year.

Don't worry though, I've logged this so you'd better hope he has a great season now because if not you'll be seeing this post a lot more than you'd like to.

Can you at least admit they did OK yesterday? Baldwin should have had a goal too - we haven't seen much of that from our CBs in recent times That said I thought Webster for them was just class. Don't know who was supposed to be picking him up for their goal.

You would obviously prefer these two to fail rather than succeed. I can just see you praying for mistakes that cost the team, rather than them playing well and contributing to success, just so you can say ' I told you so'

Pretty sad really that you wrote them off without ever seeing them and now you are hoping they dont turn out to be good for us, just to be proved right.

I'm not saying they are world beaters by any stretch, but I'm confident they will prove you wrong.

Great start to the league season, better than a lot feared. Thought Smallwood had a great game yesterday. He has too many against him I think and those who booed him before penalty should hang their heads. Always a bit more difficult to tell against 10 men but you can only beat what’s in front of you. Many a team have not beaten 10 men. There’s always room for improvement, and sounds like players were mad about conceding that goal, but 7 from 9 is great and if we had a non-myopic linesman against Salford it would have been 9. Can’t start much better than that.

Yes, I'm quite familiar with what happens when a player gets sent off.

I've yet to this day seen players, fans or managers act with anything other than positivity when an opposition player gets sent off, that's before we even look at the stats of teams success playing against 10 rather than 11. To top it off have a look at what happens to match result odds when a player gets sent off.

He didn't shove him in the face. The lad was cheating to get him sent off
