Article is poorly written in my opinion as it suggests fleetwood have joined the race but not the club who’ve made the bid.

EDIT. Just read the article now and the interesting thing about the piece is that GA has come and said that he is looking to bring in another centre half as he feels we lack cover there, which is fair enough, but what about cover for Smallwood?, I cannot think of anyone in the squad that could challenge or cover our captain, only maybe Sarcevic, but he has spent most of his career as a more attacking player.

The key issue for most is the “ Will he/ Won’t he “ saga MUST end, it’s not disrespectful , coincidentally a word being randomly and wrongly chucked about recently.
It’s cannot be any good for his squad colleagues, the manager and training staff to witness this saga go on for nearly a year, some may say two?
It’s the “breaking down in training” , “unspecified injuries” and now seemingly “not focused” that just adds to the saga of uncertainty , which is by design or accident, holding the club to ransom.

He’s no more chances left for me……BTW a little advice for him too……GET A NEW AGENT!

 

Any chance you can drop the character assassination of Young, you know nothing of him personally or his circumstances at the club?

 

More money and a good chance of promotion

 

If Young had started the season well for us won his place in the team and scored a goal or two I think he would have got himself a good move.
Time for him and the club to move on

Aren't Fleetwood skint? They've sold literally everyone worth anything over the last 18 months after all that fraud stuff with the owner. I know the old owner gave the club to his son in the summer, but sounds like they still are in the mud a bit with their finances.

You know full well the 'not focused' comment was made in relation to the uncertainty surrounding Young at present, and that GA said he understands how unsettling that can be for players and in no way at all was he directing any criticism towards Jake because of it. As for your comment about it not being good for everyone else around him to witness it, we are currently enjoying our best start to a season in years so I'd say there isn't a jot of evidence to say it's having a negative impact on the players or playing staff at all.

 

It has been unrelenting since he came back. We have no idea of his personal circumstances, in very much the same vein as don’t know what is going on his professional life either. If he wants to leave of course we shouldn’t stand in his way. Likewise the club should be compensated for the loss of his service.

A few on here keep prattling on about if he had started well this season. He hasn’t made the squad because he wants to leave; why would GA chose a player who wants to leave over a lad eager and not leaving? answers on a postage stamp please.

 

You are right I did know. The rest was speculative using my experience of having 130 staff and how one “ disruptive “ member can affect a team. If that’s not recognised as a possibility, then I’m talking to the wrong person.
Before anyone jumps on another bandwagon I am NOT saying he’s being disruptive, however his “ situation” can be ? Football results are immaterial btw.

 

The Young transfer is pointing towards Gillingham. Could be wrong...MK Dons and Carlisle fans think it is them.

 

Surely we'd put a clause in that prevents him playing in that game?
