He might turn it down yet to be fair? Although if I'm City I'm giving clubs interested a deadline of like Tues/Weds at the latest. He might not want another L2 move and his agent might advise against too if they've had Wigan types enquire this summer.

We don't want this to linger much longer and leave us on deadline day signing another Theo Robinson type.

 

If I were him I'd get my agent to be making calls to other clubs and using the first offer as leverage for a better one.

 

On paper, I'd say he'd excel the most as MK Dons, But I get the feeling it's either Carlisle, Notts County or Gillingham. Should that be the case, it's pretty fecking stupid to sell him to a league rival.

If it isn't any of those 4, An it happens to be Cheltenham or Swindon, I'd be miffed off. There's only a handful of clubs that have got deep pockets in this league so if it isn't any of them, it means we're getting 100k tops.

As for Graham, I don't think he has any personal dislike for the lad or looks down upon him for his work ethic or any other bs that's coming out from "well known sources". It's a well known fact our CEO tells porkies to the Managers we've had, about budget, etc etc. So in my eyes, Sparks has just told GA to not play the kid because he's gonna get sold this summer. Simple as. There's nothing more to it. Nothing about poor training or personal dislike from the manager. It's just money. End of discussion

If Young had come into the season determined to do well got into the team and excel. Then we would not have been wanting to offload him or teams like Barnsley and Wigan wouldn’t have dropped their interest in him.

I thought the whole thing about him wanting a move was to try his luck at a league above.

Selling him to a rival League Two club, probably for less than the 200k we could have got last year, would be stupid on everyone's behalf.

GA doesn’t give conflicting info - it’s the journos who are conflicting in what they publish.

Wow, if that's true, it's strange that Young seems so desperate to leave us he ends up at Fleetwood. Without sounding disrespectful to them, it's hardly a move that shouts out looking to better yourself.

In fact, if it is them, I wouldn't be surprised to see him reject the move.

 

Have to say you're being very disrespectful of him. Unless you have quotes/info from other coaching staff then the only input we have is from GA who didn't have issues with his training and wanted to play him and indeed did in pre-season. Perhaps it's time to bury that massive hatchet of yours and just wish him well?
