By all accounts MK are about to sign Will Swan from Mansfield (someone who I'd love here). Notts County wanted him but look to have missed out. I suspect they may have come in now for Young, after missing out on Swan. On the bright side it frees money up for a late addition, or we bank it for January. I really hope that it's been a substantial bid for us to sell to a potential league 2 rival and we're not just giving him away.

Maybe I wasn't clear enough-I have no gripe with Young-just used him as an example.

On Young though it's clear there is something really wrong with him off the field for MH and GA not to pick him. Looks like he is on his way to another league 2 club according to GA after the game.

Re Pointon-he scored today and I just wonder if GA will start him V Grimsby instead of Kavanagh who has not really started very well, or keep him as an impact sub.

 

He’ll possibly think (if it is County) that they have a pretty good chance of going up. Might be enough for him.

 

I get his face doesn’t fit but this transfer just heaps pressure on the club. We are not a free flowing goal scoring team and it will dry up. Every week the club will be ridiculed as to letting a 16 goal striker leave to a rival. I’d of sat tight but I imagine this is budget related and the fact we can’t shift Oliver or McDonald.
