Which fans wanted Shepherd? He made 8 starts for them!!! Look at the X post saying him and others had returned to parent clubs. They all wanted that other fella, not a single one wanted Shepherd!

Byrne made 28 starts in 22/23 season. Thats half a season!!!

NC fans couldnt wait ti see the back of Baldwin. They thought he was shite!

Full agree mate i cant get my head round GA and his scatter gun approach to this transfer window !

 

We've gone from only needing a few, to signing 8 and I bet we'll be in in double figures by the time we are done.

Makes me wonder what time transfer committee setup is? Is it all equal says? Like if Sparks, Gent and Sharpe say Yes but Alexander says No, do we still bring someone in because he is outvoted? But has to make it work, even though he might not want the player?

What I cannot get my head around is why has the team which had a great run and looked like a decent side on good form for the last few games of last season been so badly disrupted and practically ripped up ? Practically everyone on here has a good idea of our best 11, why doesn't GA ??? 4 points out of 6 looks great on paper but it ain't played on paper, and a matter of time before these performances (granted only 2) bring us crashing down to earth.

 

It was also a team that got ripped to shreds for most of the season by most fans, especially in March.

 

I find it interesting that the defence doesn't cut the mustard with some on here after just Three games unbelievable what about our strikers or should that be singular striker.
Let's not mention the coach load of midfielders tell you what you're stuck with it till January after the window shuts enjoy.

There are a lot leaning on past information to slag off the clubs recruitment under Sharpe.

I say lets see them in action before passing judgement.

That is why bookies exist as past results are no guarantee of future results.

I am sure we have had players in the past who had a less than rosy recent past with another club and have flourished with us. Jake Young being a prime example-left us on loan with no real record of success and smashed it with Swindon. Now looks like he is out of favour with GA as he was with MH. Is it a coincidence that two managers aren't playing him because I see a heck of a lot of talent in him but does he have other issues affecting his game?

Sometimes players play better with different managers and in different formations.

Let's give them time to gel into the team and then we can see whether the recruitment has been good , bad or downright ugly.

 

Sparks is a massive winner. This is twice now. We've had a team near promotion, that required a few tweaks

Last year, the squad got ripped up an had shite added to it when all we needed was a good LB, a box to box midfielder , a quality winger and back up for Cook

This season, One solid CB. A LWB. A quality midfielder. And Oh....back up for Cook

surprise surprise, mystic Meg in the directors box has cocked it up again. Shite signings on low wages. Spanked everything on Sarcavic. Haven't brought a proper LWB in. Selling important players across the pitch. Preparing his usual bollocks for when we suffer a dip in form an sack Alexander in February

 

I very much doubt Ryan has had much input into transfer dealing this window.

 

The stadium buy back negotiations need someone here in the UK to liaise with those involved.
This project is still very much on the agenda and it goes without saying recruitment will be assigned to others who are more qualified and rightly so.

 

But what do you really think?

 

Me too. Only 1 goal conceded in our first 2 league games. Only 2 scored, one of which was an own goal, yet it is the defence that fans are having a go at already, yet nothing said about our strikers who have yet to score a goal and our attacking midfield players who have created very little so far.

It's far too early to be writing off our new defenders by the same fans crying because our worst defender last season in Stubbs has left.

Baffling to me.

he's obviously made his views known to the "powers that be" and has been shipped out because of that.

 

I understand you have an opinion but is it based on our recent drubbing when these players all played poorly??

 

Well he is certainly not playing that is for sure. Yes he is not focused, but it is incredibly frustrating and difficult for him, not least his current team mates. GA is right to allow him space while this process takes its course. If he doesn’t leave we will have to see how he responds, this process can ruin players in my view.
