We lost our 3 best CBs last season. Tomkinson went back to his parent club. Platt went to Notts County. Stubbs now been sent off to Cheltenham on loan.

An we replaced them with Bryne, who looks bang average.
Shepherd, Who's a kid an probably won't start over Kelly, who's Mediocre at best.
Baldwin, who is a positional liability in that back line.
And a crock from Mansfield

We haven't even bought in a proper wingback. We've just brought in a winger who doesn't like playing there but is forced to play there because Richards is also positionally clueless and a liability

Now we're stacking up the midfield on shite. Signing Wigan rejects, Pushing Gillead out, who's the only player in the team with an engine, an keeping Mcdonald an Smallwood, who have the mobility of an amputee.

I dont know why this club made a big deal out of renewing the contracts of Walker an Pointon. Let's be honest, one of them is going this summer, seeing as they are hardly getting minutes on the pitch

And up front we have 2 good strikers. One is gonna get flogged to death because we don't have a like-for-like replacement on the bench. The other is gonna get sold to a league one club. Leaving us with shite like Smith an Oliver. Kav ain't that brilliant either unless he's actually shooting. His link up play an overall play is wank

Bigger budget my arse. We're cost cutting as we always do. The league is gonna be there for the taking an were wasting our time signing shite an getting rid of players we actually need

Johnson was obviously brought in as a gamble because he is a good player who I believe has 250 appearances to his name.
As I stated in last post there are questions but let’s see how it goes because they have done alright so far

 

We need a real commanding centre back, someone like Andrew Davies.

 

A good player but just as much a sick note as Johnson

 

If Cheltenham were so keen on him, they'd of taken him back. If Barnsley rated him that highly, they'd of sent him to a league one club

Bryne was a bit part player in that team. He was described as average as best by Stockport fans an from the 3 games he's played, that's exactly what he is

Baldwin also average at best. One player doesn't make for a poor defence, but he's not brilliant, an neither is the rest of our back line. a poor transfer

An we have enough crocks on the books. we don't need to add to those numbers

 

Feeling confident for the season?

 

There fans thought Shepherd should have gone to league one. Byrne was cover at Stockport but played a full season the year before and earned his move. I think Baldwin will surprise a few people. And Johnson may prove worth it even if he only plays half a season like Walker

 

Davies averaged 31.5 games a season for us, I don't see Johnson getting anywhere near that.

 

We're going 2-3-5 from now on.

 

However Andrew Davies impact in the games he did play was league above any one in our division, so not comparable in my opinion.

 

Shift the decimal point a bit and you might not be far off.

 

You do know he’s still kicking his heels though for whatever reason that may be ?

 

The key words , as I interpret them are

“I think right now I have to take a step back and focus on players who are absolutely 100 per cent focused on winning games for Bradford”

That to me says , clear as day , JY IS NOT 100% focused , that’s why he’s not playing !

I’d say Stuart reached the top. I know he was a schoolboy at Leeds but we developed him from 16/17 didn’t we ?

 

I’d be surprised if Smith got a L2 game tbh.

 

I've long forgotten the transfer strategy at the club. We are 10 to 14th finishers in my opinion. So glad I'm no longer financially invested in the club.
