For some reason Sorare have decided to switch to GW's being seasonal so rather than it being 504 its now 3

Anyway the MLS is back and the Bundesliga and Ligue 1 start their seasons (Although we only have a Ligue 1 special not the standard Ligue 1 competition) so you both have plenty of cards to select from so you should both be able to enter a decent number of lineups

The competitions that are open are

France Special - Any players from Ligue 1. 3 of these have to be In-Season cards
Anti-Stack Special - Can be either In-Season or Classic but each card has to be from a different team

One of your nailed on starting keepers doesn't have a match this week so your keepers are a limiting factor. Scherpens will almost certainly start and while Taskran is still unknown I think it's fair to say that unless he gets injured he will be starting.

We will have to wait on news about Adrian and Panicco. You really need Will Dennis to get a move hopefully either back up Scotland or maybe the Championship, I'm surprised it hasn't happened already as he was brilliant north of the border last season and its not even like Bournemouth have decided he would be their backup keeper.

One of your lineups is going to have to be the anti-stack special, Sherpens is the only choice in goal for this but the rest of the positions you have options. In defence its Bassey or Veltman, In Midfield its Longstaff or Bjarnasson and upfront its Traore. You can only play one of Bassey or Traore so deciding which plays a big part in your decisions

You should probably have enough to enter 2 challenger teams. Your best one with Taskiran in goal and then take a punt lineup hoping Panicco play

You should be able to enter a Champion (or Premier League), Challenger and a Contender team plus a No Stack special team.

Especially with the No-Stack requirements where all 5 cards have to come from different club s and with you having a few mini-stacks of teams you are probably going to have to play around with your lineups to get those 4 as string as possible.

You should also be able to with Trafford put in a second No-Stack lineup thats more of a punt lineup because sometimes those punt lineups do come off (And if not its still helping get those cards some extra XP)

Oh and try and make sure you put a Keeper or Defender in a lineup with a Midfielder or Forward that are playing each other. For example this game week Palace are playing West Ham. If you put Henderson or Ghehi in the same lineup as Bowen then if Bowen scores or assists you lose the clean sheet decisive of Henderson or the 10 extra points for a clean sheet that Ghehi would get. And if they shut him out then they might get those points but Bowen most likely doesn't get a decisive. So it's better to hedge your bets and split them into different lineups.

You can put defenders or keepers from two teams playing each other in the same lineup as a no score draw can work for both although I prefer not to. Forwards can be no problem playing against each other, midfielders can both lose each other a couple of points but its less of an issue and its the same with a forward from one team and a midfield on another

A couple of things. I was going to put Guehi in the main champions team but with there supposedly having been a further bid put in on him from Newcastle there has to be some doubts over him as you have with any player who is under transfer bids. In that team I was torn between the extra player being Mainoo or Pedro. I'm not fully convinced that Man Utd are actually any better than last season and if not Pedro could get chances and Brighton are a team that can exploit weaknesses so if they do that then Mainoo might score low BUT if they have turned a corner then Manoo will score well and Pedro may not get many chances. So you could swap those two around in the lineups they are in.

On Challenger I went for Johnson over Guzan. He is predicted to score more but as you can see Soraredata disagrees with the experts I'm pulling from and thinks he will be on the bench so Johnson in that cases is a safer choice as any score from a keeper is better than a zero.

The first Anti-Stack is relying on Guzan starting but if he does is strong. The second one needs Trafford to start which he didn't in the last match so who knows but also has a chance to score well if he does. The 3rd is just a total punt as Ramsdale unless he gets a transfer by midday tomorrow will be on the bench so you are hoping for 80+ each from the other 4

Here are the lineups I would go with. The 2nd and 3rd No-Stacks are just punt teams in the hope that the keepers start.

 

It gets tough when you have more cards and can submit more lineups. Here are all my lineups for this week (There is maybe 4 or 5 punt ones that are just there to get XP and there's training 5 training ones I haven't included)



Only just managed to get it submitted 10 mins before the deadline. And still had to leave so many good cards out so I'm not even sure I've made the right decisions

On the plus side the more lineups the better chance of getting a reward

 

grr one of my lineups is dead already as I didn't see the news that Solanke was out came between me starting building the lineups and finally getting them all submitted

Oh well hopefully the other 4 can get me a reward box, I'll be happy with more essense

 

You should absolutely be winning a card in your div 4 continental classic. Shame the best you cant win is a tier 0 as I'm not sure you can get top6 to win a T1 (you need 35 more points right now so you would probally need McGregor, forest and meada to all get another decisive). You most likely are going to get a T3, maybe just scrape a t2 . Shame Ralston didn't start as that anti stack lineup would be in with a good chance too.

My limited lineups arent doing great at the moment, got screwed over by a random dnp or a negative decisive screwing over a lineup that would do well otherwise. One of my u23 might be able to still and have a continental classic and an anti stack which might still have a chance but it needs the remaining players to score really well

On the other hand when I started playing we didn't have limited, rare was the lowest and we had thresholds where if you scored 200 you win £25 and if you got 250 you got £50 so I have a small rare collection that was built around that (and then later the 240 points for £20) but it's not that good for winning cards, I've only won 1 rare ever but it's looking like I might win a decent rare card.

 

Well my hope for my Rare team was misplaced. Thought I had enough points when I was 24th but ended up outside the top 400 needed for a reward.

Got a contender lineup that if my last card can score 70+ might scrape a card and my u23 which is only 22 points away with a card that regularly hits 70+ to go so I might get one there

Oh and @Chippy I see Davies has left Rangers to join Birmingham on loan. Actually is a good move for you as in Challenger defenders is a weaker area for you so having an extra option there should help you

Don't know much about him but a 23 year old striker from Porto could be useful.

Got 4 reward boxes as well which gave me 43 essence. Annoyingly 100 is the sweet spot to redeem and that 43 puts me on 99

 

That's a really good pull. Great L5 and L15, is only 22 and has senior caps. Can play as a CB, RB and a CDM and performs well in all 3. And with you losing a defender card from your contender pool this week with Davies having head out on loan to the Championship it works out fairly well as you aren't down a defender while Davies makes your Challenger options better.


Is this your first essence? If not how much have you got right now?

 

With essence you probably want to wait until you get to 100 before crafting a card. That guarantees the card you craft is a minimum of Tier 3 which is the level you want to basically be guaranteed it a card that will be useful to your lineups but thats a minimum, you can craft a card from any level above the guaranteed minimum (Someone during the Euros used 20 essence to craft at Tier 5 and crafted Yamal) so you could craft a star tier of Mbappe or Bellingham if your lucky.

On the level ups it's a tough one. You can only apply 3 Level ups to a card and each level requires more XP than the last. So using a level up to go from Level 19 to the max level of 20 is worth way more than going from 1 to 2. Your highest Level card is Herbers on level 12, you have a bunch in the 7 to 10 but also many who are below that. So on that front there isn't one that really jumps out.

However the bonuses can make a big difference so its a balancing act, do you save them and use them to get the more difficult levels or do you go for the extra .5% bonus and level up a card you will use every week right away


Another factor is you also don't want to use a Level up on a card that is almost at the next level, for example your Bowen needs 14 XP get to the next XP which he will get with ease next time you put him in a lineup or a training team so it would be a waste. At the lower levels you want them to be less than 25% of the way to the next level, when you start to get higher up the levels especially 15+ then under 50% might make sense. You want to be skipping as much of the level as possible.

Another thing I suppose is are they in-season cards and are you using them in the in-season comps? With In-Season you might very well want to skip levels quickly for your key cards so you can maximise your cash rewards as you obviously only have a season to maximise your returns so it might be worth stealing a march.

 

I've been doing poor with rivals for weeks and annoyingly I'm not even flush with Tickets now as all I ever seem to win is single tickets so I'm often limited to 1 maybe 2 a day which doesn't help
