2024 Released Players & City transfer rumours

We have won 33% of our games this season. His team selection can be under scrutiny with 1 win in 3. And it doesnt help when his team serves up dire performances like last Saturday.

Last season means absolutely nothing now. Please drop that narrative.

Indeed mate, on the transfer front we do seem to the aunt sallys of the division.

 

If nothing happens next week, then its another shambles of a window. At the very least, I'd like us to get some money for Young, get rid of the deadwood, loan out some of the players that have potential but need more confidence (Kav for example), and maybe accept a big money bid for Bobby. Then bring in some players that can push for positions and create competition within the squad, namely in defence, defensive midfield, in goal and up top.

Reading that back, its a tall order. Reading that back, I just know we'll probably ship out Young and Bobby for undisclosed sums and bring in Ufuking Watt on loan, a former England U17 schoolboy player from Palace, who is dynamite, loves scoring goals and can play anywhere, but hasn't broken into the first team despite being at the club since the age of four and went out on loan last season to Hayes Athletic, getting 1 goal and 1 assist in 38 appearances.

 

He seems vastly over qualified to be honest.

 

Alternatively, let's start the season by winning games convincingly so we don't have to play catch up and sit on the edge of the play offs all season with up and down form.

Bromley have had two solid 2 nil wins so far. Gillingham with a good start also. We don't want to be 5 points from 3 games after Saturday.

Tell me more about this Ufuking Watt, I can't find him on wiki and he sounds like an interesting signing, up there with paying over a million (used) notes for future England star Isaiah Rankin, but not realising he was first cousin to Clarence to cross eyed lion.

Another academy deal done, Oduors younger brother Clive Oduor has left City and has signed for Wolves.

 

They're trigger happy absolutely but I don't think even they can match our merry go round.

Any money that comes in for Young and Bobby now will be floundered. We have have had 3 months to sell players, buy players etc. Anything now we will either be a panic buy or we will be bummed on the asking price.

Ideally we need Stubbs and Gilliead out of the door because they are clearly not in GA's plans and we want McDonald and Oliver gone because they are both shite. Id like Young to stay, but think he goes too.

GK, CB, DM & CF (if 2 leave) will be needed if the stars allign.
