Wouldn't be surprised if Smith did go out on loan it could be another 'Young' situation as in he smacks in a few goals as we miss out....again ..

Might as well use the wages, but he looked so done last season. Is he even training with the first team at the minute after being told he needs to leave? My fear is, Smallwood gets a straight red or a knock, is McDonald going to be ready to come in for 3 or more games? As he had no pre-season under his belt at all and the DM will more often than not play 90 minutes. He finished 5 of his 14 starts last season, that's when he was match fit (or match fitter than now at least). It would be a HUGE gamble throwing him in if he's so far out the loop.

 

With Young going the other way as part of the deal?

 

Carlisle signed a midfielder on loan from Brighton yesterday so I wonder if their interest in Gilly has waned.

Ridiculous business. Seriously, who looked at his last few years and thought 2 years was worth it? Or Wilsons CV and thought lets tie him up for 3 years? Same with Smith, Oliver etc etc.

 

Wright is no good at all as a LWB for me. In fact in the games played so far, he wouldn't be in my starting eleven

 

Who would sign Wilson for 3 years AND immediately bring in a manager who won't play wingers?
