Who said we're trying to find a new home for Smith? Not heard anything on Smith all summer

 

We couldn't move him on in January as he was injured. I'm guessing he's not in the squad because his head will have been turned. If he's still here when the window shuts then I'd fully expect him to be involved again

 

It’s cost cutting imagine Gilly, Stubbs, McDonald in top 6 earners for us. They will be replaced by cheap youth loans.

They’ll cash in Young as can’t shift Oliver., we know the story the hirarchy have made a balls up this window and I count Sharp as equally useless.

I don’t think there is much of an argument to be had, the 2023 summer transfer window was a shambles and this hasn’t been much better.
It may have been more structured, but I’ve no doubt it has not left us stronger bar, potentially the addition of Sarcevic

Given we ended the season well and GA has removed two of the key players (Pointon and Walker) from the starting eleven, I think we are weaker.

We’ve started a new season with no creativity or flair.

 

He played pretty much the full game in EFL trophy QF on 30th January.

 

I think the strength of the Squad is shown by the three subs we introduced on Saturday and Walker was also available

 

I think the biggest miss of the players waiting to Exit is Gillead. Yes I know his end product isn’t there but playing deeper he presses well defends well and carries the ball into dangerous areas and I bet he is the most sought after players we have available for transfer.

 

Hahah Park… don’t be surprised. Try and see what a mess the hierarchy has made. Scrambling to get fringe squad plays out of the club who we will need at some stage when the inevitable injuries hit. All because we can’t shift the high earners in Oliver. It’s book balancing Park.

 

Apparently Oliver is having another scan this week, isn't yet back to full training and won't be risked at the weekend. Any small chance of interest being drummed up in him from elsewhere looks to be completely dead in the water now (if it wasn't already).

 

I might bring out the 'Rhys Evans couldn't dive to his left' analogy again if this continues.

 

Pay off McDonald and Oliver and keep Gillead. Thats what Rupp should be paying for. Hopeless window so far and certainly not promotion (top 3) squad.

Great momentum carried on from last season, appointment of a head of recruitment on 6 figures, promised investment from the owner and we end up with a weaker, incomplete squad full of players we cant shift and decent players we want to shift.

 

He wasnt in the opening day squad - behind Oliver and Young who we are trying to shift on. What does that tell you about his value to the club?

 

Mate, can't you just give it a rest, I agree with you 99% but i look on here to see transfer rumours but all i see nearly every other post is you repeating what you have said many times over

 

But we have handled the Young situation appalling!
We have smelt a few quid and just cant wait to cash in on Young!
All our other strikers are shite bar Cook and we are chasing in on Young!
Young has never been given a proper chance under GA!
League one teams are chasing Young and he cant get a game for us!
We need to keep Young!!!
