Well so far, Baldwin and Byrne have done fine, presume these are the pair you allude to as you wrote them off without actually seeing them play.

 

If Gent got sacked it would only put more heat on Sparks. So many people losing their jobs while you stay in yours looks questionable. Truemans a good guy by all accounts, doesn't sit right with me as so many managers have been sacked and failed with him next to them

Rupp's not stupid, he must have seen through Sparks and have given him one last chance to get the on field bit right, and if that were the outcome, it would sugar coat finishing 8th in some small way.

Against MK, Baldwin was trying to tackle their sub bench for some reason and Byrne dived in to completely remove himself from the game resulting in Kelly being the closest defender despite being on the opposite side.

It was poor from Halliday but as a wingback at least 30 yards from your own goal it's reasonable to expect at least a couple of the back 3 to be covering.

Then the Grimsby goal, Niall Byrne was doing laps of the chain bar trying to get in a position to block the lads shot. It was horrendous defending and put us immediately in the back foot after being the better team all half.

There's the positive of a clean sheet against Salford though, we just need to ignore the ridiculous long range hoofing to absolutely no one from all three.

 

bit of a shame for me that he’s gone back-from what we’ve seen I think there’s a player in there. Him going to NL and tearing it up increases the chances of a sale-but home comforts I guess.
I also doubt he’ll be on big money, but all will have had a bit of a bump to come to us? Pure estimation he was on £1k a week there and possibly £1.2-1.5k here. I’d imagine we’re covering about half

 

I'm surprised you have time to attend City's games. With your undoubted knowledge of players and their strengths and weaknesses I would have thought you would be in constant demand as a coach or at least a scout.
