Another fine example of how not to recruit players. What a scramble of transfer activity we had under Hughes. No surprise he's back playing golf, I doubt anyone will touch him with a barge pole now...

 

Except we still haven't actually got a wingback at the club.

 

We've got national league level centre halves so he's not far off the level of our team.

 

Once we sack you that's it, you're toast. Club nor manager seem to benefit from us booting them out. I still think if Hughes had just stuck with what worked that playoff season he could still be in a job, another absolutely baffling transfer window that was. Just a couple of tweaks and quality over quantity, OK here's Ash Taylor, Afoka and Tulloch and I'm going to make a very solid back 4 last season into a back 5!

Adam Wilson is not a youngster despite everyone seeming to think he is. The lad is 24 years old. He's just not good enough for the EFL

 

I still cannot believe we dished out 3 year contracts to the likes of Wilson, Tyler Smith, and Oliver (our highest earner) and heads haven't rolled

He will be cheap so wouldn’t worry about three years in his case, especially if they are picking up his remuneration for the season. Youngs three year deal will also pay dividends if he trots off. He will have been cheap and profitable with Swindon picking up a portion of it. If only they all were as easy?
