True. But the Parky years and the first season of Stuart’s second spell had taken us back to the cusp of the Championship - denied by an offside goal - so, arguably, we’d gone a long way towards reversing the post-BFG decline.

Two or three good signings would have easily turned that playoff team into auto promotion certainties. Instead, Rupp let Rahic run amok with his crackpot ideas and it was downhill all the way from there.

 

Agreed, this isn't anything like last year where if we played Young in January we couldn't sell him.

In fact, he already has played, so it's clearly not a factor.

Good luck to Wilson, hope he does well. He's turning 25 this season and has just 21 starts in mens football to his name inside of 38 appearances. He has played shockingly little football for his age and needs to kickstart his career.

 

Let's hope this is the start of some serious activity, in and out, before the end of the window. Young and Gilly look nailed on to go, MacDonald needs to go and unless we can get another "big" CF in then Oliver needs to now stay as Cook back up

 

Good luck to the lad, as Alexander has quoted he needs to be playing in a team set up with wingers. Shame we aren't playing with wingers as I've seen some great wide players at city over the years but our style now is with wing backs. Reminds me of the season Mark Marshall won the player of the year under McCall, nowt better watching a winger take on a full back.

 

Mark Marshall, Kyel Reid, both would have us off our seats on a regular basis, miss those days ....

 

I miss those days of wingers hugging the touchline, both Marshall and Reidy could torture full backs when they were on it.

 

Playing with wingers or not, he is not good enough for us. Welsh league or National League is his level in my opinion.
