Still a couple of GW's before all the teams are back but this weekend does ramp up the available options.

The Jersey Special has an interesting prize pool although I'm not sure either of you can put in a competitive lineup in that that meets the strict entry requirements (especially @Chippy as you can only use 2 cards from the same team)

You have some options. Personally I think Traffords starting % is low, sure he lost his place at the end of last season but they have sold Muric to Ipswich. They brought in Etienne Green who is another young English Keeper who has been playing in France and Hladky came the other way in the Muric deal and that does suggest they are expecting Trafford to leave but until he does I expect he will start

Defenders despite not having any kind of conformation Choi Jun is your most nailed on starter. Ben Davis personally has higher chance than the 30% that the experts are saying but I would favour Jun in your primary team personally.

In Midfield McGregor is the obvious stand out. Polster should also start.

And Up front Meada has been injured, he is back in training and the experts say that he should start but Cerny is the safer choice imho.


What lineups you should submit is a tough one.

You could go for a Contender lineup (I would probably go for Classic over in-season because you will be up against full on Celtic stacks that are guaranteed to start in-season) and go with

Butland - Jun - McGregor - Cerny

But your 5th player is problematic as it probably a choice between Meada, Davis or maybe Forrest. I would probably go for Forrest if you want to hedge your bets with a second team rather than just having a complete punt of a second team

For the second team I would go for All-Star and go for

Trafford - Davis - Polster - Meada

and then the extra player being either Ralston or O'Connor

Well the problem if having no starting keepers is no longer an issue. You have 3 who will almost certainly start and another where there is a rumour he may be rotated in.

You have options also in Defence and a couple in midfield but only 1 striker who isn't likely to start.

I would probably go for

Scherpen - Bartlett - Karaca - Donovan - Ndao

And All-Star or Capped are your only options and All-Stars prize pool is better

Trafford starting is looking less likely as apparently Newcastle are back in for him and Wolves, Brentford and Marseille have all held talks too. Burnley paid £15mill (plus £4mill in potential clauses but he hasn't triggered any of those) but have to pay City 20% of any transfer fee so they would have to sell him for £18mill to break so if they can get more than apparently Newcastle's last bid of £20mill so I suspect with Newcastle still hanging around and others showing interest they will think they can make a profit so won't risk him

 

No as the game weeks run from Tuesday at 3pm to Friday at 3pm so you would need them basically to play Tuesday night and Thursday Night. Double game weeks happen more often with Korean or Japanese teams who sometimes play Saturday morning and then play again Tuesday at 11am or noon, usually when the Asian Champions League is on


Oh and congrats on your first card win in pro. The lowest you can drop in the rankings right now is still in t5 range, hopefully you stay in the t4 range though

 

I got relegated in rivals. Although I was busy so kept forgetting to enter lineups which explain it.

If it wasn't for them being early access so I'm interested in seeing if in the reveal I get any special editions I would most likely sell all but maybe the 19 year old. Plus I guess its a new season so maybe over the next month they will get more minutes than they did at the end of last season

Also got a reward box and got 10 essence in that

 

While there are some t5's who might be useful immediately you have probably pulled one of the preferable types of t5 in that its an u23 player (and a Forward at that) as there is a chance they break in as a starter in the next 18months or so. Other than that I guess a Keeper under 25 or a senior player who has been out injured for 25+ weeks but was previously a starter are probably the other ones

 

Yeah I just looked him, it's only Tier 4 in Germany but 29 in 31 last season and 30 in 31 the season before is pretty impressive . And that level of football in Germany has a number of good Bundesliga teams B teams so aren't exactly chumps. If he can find his feet at the new club and take his chances when he gets them there is certainly no reason he can't do well in Bundesliga 2 level
