It's a good move to get more people up the pitch and in and around the box. Saturdays match wasn't a great one to see if it will work out but hopefully we'll get a better idea in the next 2 or 3 games.

 

But the question asked to you was why you were disregarding Kemp's stint at Hartlepool and only focusing on his time at MK Dons after his successful run at Swindon (basically showing two successful periods and one less/not successful)?

 

I'm sure Gilly would be happy with that too with his best mate being there.

Just had a look at the Carlisle forum. They aren't best pleased about the rumour of Gilly joining them.

 

All that money and coming up with a middle of the road L2 midfielder, yeah I'd be annoyed too. He'll probably get a big wage rise, seems to be the Carlisle way.

I just don't see how they need him? They have lots of defensive minded midfielders or midfielders that dont worry the G&A column to put it another way. They are kinda the opposite to us in that they are stocked with deeper mids and have little attacking mids.

That's exactly what their fans are saying. It appears they think Abbo only targets players from Bradford or that have previous links to Bradford in the same way we joke about Gent only signing players with Middlesbrough connections.

 

Greg Abbott wouldn't know a good player if it slapped him in the face.

A good player for us but terrible everywhere he's been in all sorts of staff roles and I'm amazed that he still gets work at professional football clubs.

Don’t understand why Smith has suddenly been relegated down the pecking order. He looked sharp in pre season and has done ok coming on as substitute.
Oduor also gets stick on here but the lad has good ability and after a good cameo on Saturday and his performance last night he probably deserves a start this weekend

 

He did play well, but who would you drop from last weekends midfield?

Exactly, the 3 of Smallwood Pattison Sarcevic seemed more cohesive and less open that the one last night. Odour did well but not enough to break into that midfield for me. I think his best shot of starting is at LWB. His best moments yesterday were running down the left wing and putting balls in.

 

No way. Sarcevic was one of our best players at MK Dons.

 

GA was questioned about Gillead last night and basically said he can only include so many players, so he’s simply down the pecking order at the minute. This is a players who’s been widely praised by many managers, including GA too.

 

Maybe Smith has requested a move. Or clib have suggested loan. He is 6th choice at the moment.

PS Byrne and Baldwin were absolute shite last night. Early signs are not good.
