Stubbs, Gilliead, Smith clearly not in GAs plans.

Assuming none are injured.

 

Feel for Gilliead to be honest. While he’s not a world beater he works hard and fills in for a couple of positions. Hes clearly gone if he can’t make tonight’s squad.

 

He should have left last season

 

Defence , yes 100% agree.

 

He’s more than capable of being a squad player for us. I’d imagine he’s got something lined up if he’s not even on the bench tonight.

 

Think Gilliead won’t want to be a squad player he’s been one of first names on team sheet for last few years , working hard and that is fine but his goals & assists arnt good enough for us if we are serious about going for promotion. Plus am sure he’s on a few grand a week he came in as a marquee signing 2/3 years back

 

I recognise we all have different opinions on Wright's ability as a left wing back but one thing I am completely sure of - he isn't going to get any better if he doesn't play.

 

Reckon his flexibility is his problem actually. When someone says I can do this or that or whatever, they always struggle when specialists come in and suddenly he isn't good enough to be in front of any of them in any position.

 

Why, He was one of the better players last season.

 

Haven't been able to get to the bookies, but my £2 would have gone on No Goalscorer which is 11-1.

So if that happens it's gonna cost me

 

Completely agree and while I’m not overly bothered about him leaving he has played over 200 games for City and often not in his favoured position.
He was well liked by Hughes and GA even made him captain on a couple a couple of occasions.
He will be a decent addition for anyone interested.

 

One injury and he's starting though

 

If Gilliead does go then we certainly need at least 1 more player in as we wouldn't have a back up for Smallwood if he got injured/suspended as I doubt we'll see McDonald play again.
