THat's like going into the pub, asking for a pint of Boltmeker and being told you can only have Carling.

I'd play him alongside Oliver and save Cook for a meaningful match. Plus it might piss him off if he's cup tied.

As you say it would also make him Cup tied if its Jake who's wanting out and not Alexander.

Mixed messages coming out of the club yet again. GA saying in today's presser that he's brought Olly in because he felt we still needed to improve in that area and thankfully they were in a position to do it without having to trade. Last week it was we need to move someone out before we bring anyone else in.

How do you know what was said at Swindon? Purposely getting yourself injured so he can’t play for City? Really!!

Young should have been sold whilst playing at Swindon (when his stock was at its highest)
His value must have dropped considerably
Big mistake to bring a player back who had been previously bombed out on loan
Let's face it he was right about Hughes
Regardless of what GA says I really don't think he had any intention of giving him game time
    Another costly mistake

I didn't say anything was said at Swindon, I was referring to comment made in various places like here, and I certainly didn't say he purposefully got himself injured.

I said I think he has a bad attitude and that I wouldn't have put it past him to have agreed to play with an slight knock (knowing it might make it worse) because he knew he was going back and thought "I don't give a stuff about how that impacts on Bradford City for the rest of the season"

You could say he' failed to impress three manager's - Wilder who released him after 15 months, Hughes who sent him on loan and Wild who didn't get a tune out of him. It doesn't look like Rob Edwards busted a gut to keep him at FGR either.

He's a young lad, but what he does next, and how he gets on with his next manager, could make or break his career.

As a manager, I think GA is lot cleverer than Hughes, and I believe he is playing games of talking Young up, but will be throwing a party when he gets £2.50 and a mars bar in a transfer fee.

It was impossible to sell him at Swindon, he wouldn’t have passed a medical . Who would have bought a player who will be injured and unavailable for the rest of the season ? Nobody.

I think it is just fanciful to suggest he would participate in making his injury worse out of spite. Flynn played him and he is equally responsible. GA would certainly not play him injured.
I have no idea what happened at other clubs. If you are correct, no manager would want him that is for sure. These kind of things get around and all managers would be wary about taking him on. That certainly doesn’t appear to be the case.

Young came back and played a couple of games before being declared injured again

Pete Wild at Barrow and Mark Hughes at City. Additionally he was released by Sheffield United earlier in his career.

Players want to play football. A managers job is to manage and make decisions - Flynn knew full well he was returning so played him as wouldnt be his problem if he aggravated it. He came back injured and GA didnt play him.
