Sorry but Jake has hardly had an opportunity. He played a few minutes at the end of the season, he came back to us injured thanks to Swindon. He looked good when he first came. I have no idea what has gone on, but surely somebody at the club has the wherewithal to nurture and bring on good young players.

There might be an option to take this lad , permanently . If heis here to replace, Oliver, Young or Smith, we wont be losing much in terms of goals scored for Bradford city in league matches, does it even make a bakers dozen between them.
Roll on Tomorrow, it will be very interesting to see who gets cup tied.

Yes this lad is only twenty younger than Pointon and has a bit of experience already and is obviously rated by Fulham

 

If and i am saying if, he has a very laid back attitude in training, he is not going to impress GA, who is a stickler for hard work. We the fans will never get the truth. i think it is time to cash in, he will leave for nothing next season.

Incredible to blame Swindon for his injury. He was always getting recalled.
Jake Young is clearly a pain in the @rse but he clearly felt comfortable there. It happens. Sometimes it works out and sometimes it doesn’t. The lad has talent, but we have now seen two managers who dont really fancy him for whatever reasons. We must trust GA on this one and if we can get a decent fee then its win win.

We have to be careful with the dressing room. We dont want Young being disruptive, in the ears of other players and we already have a popular figure in the squad in Gillead being sold off.

 

It does if he’s made it plain he wants a move, rember the comments about training?

 

To be fair, didn't Swindon know he was carrying an injury and still play him, which made it worse ?

 

We keep hearing this but whenever GA talks about him he is positive. Plus I would hope as an experienced manager he can get the best out of players. Well I doubt we would get as much for him now. I would have expected him to put in a full shift this season so that he does get a good deal either with us or someone else.

 

Most of the team that won 2-1 at the favourites for the league are crap according to on here.

 

He was injured whilst at Swindon and Flynn admitted ( It’s all on video) playing him injured and not even training. This has been done to death so not sure trying to deny it now adds anything. If I were a betting man it’s him that wants the move and we are happy to let him go and cash in…..In a few months time he will be free anyway?

 

Realistically this is the last window to make a call on Young. We either sell him now and raise some cash, let him bob along and walk next summer, or fully re-integrate him and hope he hits goals and signs a new contract.

GA seems to talk him up, so who knows.

Obviously if he wants to go then fair enough, but I am still annoyed that he wants to go. He obviously enjoyed his time with Swindon and got on well with the manager, no complaints about training or anything else. @Onside87 I blame Swindon for playing him whilst injured because they were desperate for players. It is easy to say he won’t train right or that he is a troublemaker. The club obviously want to cash in, as normal for City we sell all the best, and that kind of mentality will keep us this league.
