That MK Dons didn’t score more was down to bad finishing as opposed to good defending. We gifted them far too many opportunities.

Tomkinson was not even in the Norwich matchday squad yesterday,
    Being loaned out again?
I would like to think City are interested but he might be going further up the food chain than our dearly beloved khazi league

Yes I noticed that too oggie. Their right winger constantly had acres of space which could have put us into trouble.
As you say, Wright is no wing-back!!

Some on twitter saying they spotted Jamie Walker limping at a service station on the way home yesterday. Can't remember anything robust during his cameo?

If he had caught the lad and given away a penalty it wouldn't have been a red because it was a genuine attempt to play the ball.

    My random thoughts on yesterday.
Great win but we certainly rode our luck and could just as easily have lost.
We looked very fit, much more than MK who tired badly in the last twenty minutes.
Halliday was badly outpaced for the goal but redeemed himself with a goal saving tackle in the second half.
Smallwood had an excellent game 80% of the time but was caught too far upfield on a couple of occasions.
Not too impressed with Sarcevic so far. I think Walker or Pointon would be a better bet on the left of the AMs with Pattison on the right.
Back three a bit disorganised. Hopefully, they'll improve. Shepherd looks a good player.
Wright is not a left wing back, but a danger in attack.
All the subs did very well.
    Great team spirit.
Cook and Kavanagh were very anonymous.
    Walker superb in goal.
And, finally, for God's sake take Smallwood off free kicks.

I thought Sarcevic was going to take them? I did think Sarce was blowing out of his rear for the second half for sure. Agree re Shepherd …Walker and Odour knew the score towards the end. Game management …perfect from those two .

Read somewhere £12.5m but obviously don't know how accurate this is.

£ 12m for football debt. As someone pointed out Winkleman business interests around the ground subbed the loss making footy.

They purchased the entire business/ stadium AND paid off Winkleman debts of £12 m.

The football club hasn’t made a profit ever and was roughly £17m in debt to Winkleman business interests in 2021, as I read it.

If you were there yesterday you would see how the area round the ground has developed. Originally the whole site was vested in MK Development Corporation and Winkleman picked it up for very little on the basis of a commitment to develop which he has, retaining a lot of the income which I heard is in the Kuwait deal, might be wrong but if all in the deal it won’t be £12.5 million significantly more

I said it last season and I’ll say it again after yesterday’s visit, the MK ground is absolutely fantastic and I am extremely envious of the facilities they have. Plenty of space round it too to park with ease, and a quick getaway after the game with little traffic hold ups except the roundabout just before the M1. I think anybody who says they’d rather have that shit hole VP over a state of the art ground like MK are lying to themselves

Id love us to be able to develop something similar around the Odsal/euroway area but it’ll never happen

There was one tackle in particular that he absolutely thundered into, which is something we missed dearly last season. And he won the ball, fantastic timing and passion. Maybe he came out of that tackle a bit worse for wear?

More of the same determination from all the squad please!

That’s ONLY the debt portion the Kuwaiti’s have paid off according to the MKD site. There is absolutely nothing about how much they have paid for the entire site/ stadium/ business/ club. So yes the £12 you mention is probably a very minor proportion if what they will have paid.

They will have to be profitable on other interests other than football as that won’t pay on its own?

Yes a decent place, completely soulless if it wasn’t for City fans yesterday!

Im sure all that’s right. 7.5 k there yesterday with 20% from Bradford. Image Salfords 50 instead of our 1800. I would imagine if they are collecting full market rent as opposed to nominal ground rent the value would be nearer to£100 million but Land Registry will tell you in next 2 months when new owners are registered

They won't ever get bought out.

There's no magical buyer for a club that doesn't make profit and is so far in debt, we've been told so many times on here.

Those people don't exist, we can't name them, they aren't real.

Who said that ? . Wimbledon (sic) has been probably bought for its real estate potential value when the local population doubles by 2050 and the hope of getting to the Prem and feasting on Sky money . Oh and it’s a convenient place to get rid of money perhaps?;)
